Last call! October 10-11 is the final weekend of our 2026 exhibition center season. The Coney Island History Project & our Wonder Gallery, a collaboration with Parachute Literary Arts, will be open 1-7 pm on Saturday & Sunday. FREE admission.

Today, September 10th, in Coney Island, Brooklyn 9/11 Wall of Remembrance will hold its annual candlelight ceremony. Located on the exterior wall of Maimonides Park, it was the first major 9/11 memorial built in NYC. On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, honor the memories.

Celebrate National Roller Coaster Day by listening to the Legendary Roller Coasters ep of our podcast via coneyislandhistory.org/podca…. Today in 1898 Edwin Prescott patented his Loop the Loop. In 1901, he built this one in Coney Island at W 10th St. and Surf where the Cyclone is now!
