One major bank has lowered their 5 year posted mortgage rate to 4.99%. We just need the others to follow (which they should) and that will trigger a possible drop to the governments stress test rate that is required on mortgage applications.

The 5 year bond rate starts 2019 off at the lowest point it has been in 12 months. Will the banks be lowering their 5 year mortgage rates to coincide with this? We will see. DM me with any mortgage questions.
