15 YEARS AGO: On this date in 2011, Alabama experienced a generational tornado outbreak. A total of 62 tornadoes touched town over the northern 2/3 of the state.
We will never forget the 252 lives lost that horrible day.

Never shared this with you. One Saturday morning, I was at the cabin in Mentone reading your tweets. You were discussing battles in Chattanooga. I think it was with @CwNewbie11 & I'm pretty sure @Battlefields was mentioned.
I went on about my day which included a run to Costco in Ringgold, Ga. I had completely forgotten your tweets until I found myself on Battlefield Parkway and almost immediately saw a directional sign for Chattanooga.
I didn't have time to explore, but your conversation sure made me want to. I never really cared about the Civil War until it became personal. I've learned a ton from you, @CornbreadRTR & @EzraStonesGrave. It's nice to have smart friends.
