In July of 2008 I opened a sarcasm tag. Others have been opened since then. I'd be surprised if any of them were closed. You've been warned.

Thought question: How do we get people who suck less to run for political office? And then how do we get the Stupid Party and the Evil Party to choose "electable" over "ideologically pure"? (No matter which party you cast in the roles above?)

An even better question might be this: how do we move past "my party = stupid" and "not my party = evil"? How do we move American political discourse to a place where parties represent a difference of opinion about how to address shared problems, not a moral choice you can fail

Hey @LinkedIn Telling me that @joshcorman is speaking, a week after he spoke? That's mind boggling unhelpful, even for you and your worthless algorithm. Of course, if you actually honored unsubscribe requests I wouldn't have seen that utter failure of utility... Up your game

I still expect to hear “Buenos Noches Amigos” whenever they mention the SAP button before each game

Dear Sales Weasels - when you start cold-calling and mailbombing me, I'm asking myself the following question: If you're this bad at being a fellow human when you still need something from me, how badly will you suck after the check clears? There's a reason I edit MTA filters.

Dear Fortinet- There is almost no answer more wrong than asking a customer of a brand new pizza box appliance with a documented issue running the latest FortiOS for logs documenting the reported problem of inaccessible logs. At least *pretend* you're hiring support humans...

We have failed to save the cheerleader. This could go badly.

And just over a year later the last of my @chevrolet vehicles is some other dealers problem due to adversarial engineering - or maybe step two of enshitification (TM @doctorow ) where the customer is screwed for the benefit of the dealer service department.
Hey @chevrolet - fuck you and your engineers. Putting a wearable part like a thermostat where it takes 9.5 labor hours to replace is extortion, and fan service to your dealers' service departments. This is my last red Chevy pickup, breaking a streak that goes back to 1982.

I was charged over $200 (diagnostic fee) just to be told it would cost at least $1200 to get an *ESTIMATE* for the cost of a repair. They could have at least kissed me first.

More proof that @VMware isn't interested in the .edu market...their big conference is Aug31 - Sep3, when no system is sending school IT pros offsite no matter how big a team they field.

It feels like the idiots at Broadcom want me to give up in disgust and leave the VMware platform. Just dealing with "what do I do with the license codes you just sent me" makes me want 2 start learning some rational VM platform. The "support" pages are a disorganized hellscape

Pro tip for sales weasels - tracking down my non-work, personal cell phone number because I've ignored your calls at both my work numbers after telling you no is not creative or persistent. It's creepy stalker shit and will not help you make a sale. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Dear @cisco - the AI agents that you have (wrongly) decided are an acceptable replacement for actual support staff for customers paying (extortionate amounts) for SmartNet are in no way ready for prime time. When my budget allows, you're being replaced.
90
Come on @Cisco - for the price of SmartNet, I shouldn't have to haggle with your g-ddamn AI before I can argue with an engineer about whether you will deign to honor your hardware warranty. I'm paying extra for Cisco. Be worth it.

What I want to know is why Craig Breslow was with the group delivering bad news, not the group getting it... AC could only manage the staff Breslow actually acquired, no matter how much "interest" was shown to guys who would have helped the team more. #RedSox

Ever wonder if it was possible to slap "that much" stupid out of someone without killing them?

For f**ks sake @MLB - the experience of trying to buy tickets to a spring training game makes me think you don't actually want folks in the seats. IDGAF if your system thinks - incorrectly - that my selection will strand a single seat. Not my problem.

Thats just the most glaring error. I've wanted to do this for literally decades. The multiple design/architecture failures @mlb is willing to tolerate in this system makes me question whether I should give it up as a bad idea.

The offspring as involved in his college radio station - and is co-hosting his roommates metalcore program. I listen, because it may not be my jam but I get to hear him laughing with his friends while he's away. Sleep Token's "Emergence" is advanced persistent earworm material.

I've also found that this one can't be chased away by just grabbing the song and playing it. That seems to strengthen the hold on my attention rather than breaking the hold.
