A heated GB News debate between Peter Bleksley and @Alexarmstrong asked whether young people should go to war for Britain when the government has done nothing for them. I stand with Alex on this one. Why should anyone be expected to fight for a country that has failed them?.

HMRC has quietly sent hundreds of letters to wealthy people asking them to reveal what they own. Not what they earn or what tax they've paid, but what they own. Here's what's going on. A unit called the Wealthy Team covers anyone with "incomes of £200,000 or more, or assets equal to or above £2m in any of the last three years". That's about 850,000 people. The letters ask for a meeting to discuss "sources of wealth", "future intentions", trusts, companies, family arrangements and even "significant life events" you expect in the coming years. It is presented as voluntary, but there's a nudge: "We may still need to carry out compliance checks on your tax returns. However, speaking with you first may help avoid this." Until now, inspectors have usually only asked about income and earnings. Experts call this a "sea change". One lawyer asked the obvious question: "does HMRC have a right to know what someone owns and not simply that they have paid the right amount of tax?" A tax adviser said: "No other G20 country asks for this level of detail from its taxpayers about what they own." So what is it for? Advisers suspect it is groundwork for an exit tax, a charge on your wealth for leaving the country. As one put it: "Building that knowledge could indeed be part of moving towards an exit tax." You don't have to be a billionaire to see the problem.

@neso_energy has issued an emergency instruction to the Camster windfarm in Scotland All day NESO has been issuing warnings that it didn't have enough turndown capacity in Scotland so I guess they had to instruct capacity off regardless of the Bids and Offers in the BM

An honest discussion. Like you had with your constituents in Markerfield, while you begged for their votes: you shit ragged dissembling gravy flecked fraud.
🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham says an "honest discussion" is needed on Britain readopting EU free movement "Freedom of movement had very significant challenges associated with it... but it was a type of immigration that perhaps wasn’t as difficult [as now]"

Stanislav Carpiuc was convicted over arson attacks linked to Keir Starmer and has now been deported, according to the Home Office. I've gone through what the court heard and what the Home Office actually said. We're constantly told deportations are difficult, so I want to know why this one could be done and how many others could be. What do you think? Let me know in the comments.

Macron’s "students" needed a Rolex to help them study better. Marseille, Rolex and Louis Vuitton looted and destroyed by rioters. Look what they did to Marseille. Rolex and Louis Vuitton completely destroyed, windows broken, shelves empty, boxes on the floor. Everything stolen, everything destroyed by the rioters. And then they tell us it's not the left's fault. This is the France of the Left-Islam alliance. First they destroy everything and then they pretend nothing happened.

Whilst very funny, the comments in this thread highlight how badly behaved the operators have been. A lot of trust has gone and that should be of most concern to the gaslighting BGC.
£4 ⏩ £997,385.09. No, that's not a typo. A Betfair customer has won close to £1million. 12-game acca. An honest ‘student protester’ in France explains why he’s protesting. The question: “Why are you protesting?” He replies: “I don’t know. I’m just here to smash and destroy things.” But they just want a better education, you guys.

There are at least 800 cases of public sector workers in Scotland who no longer have a job but remain employed, costing taxpayers over £27m a year, probably a lot more. The SNP is refusing to make them redundant because it has a policy against compulsory redundancy. One NHS Highland worker has been receiving their full salary and benefits for 17 years despite not having a specific job any more. Another 26 NHS Highland workers haven't had a permanent role for over 5 years. Other bodies carrying on paying staff despite them not having a job include Police Scotland, Scottish Water and the Scottish Civil Service, a Sunday Times investigation revealed. The situation is absurd but the SNP government doesn't seem to be bothered.

Labour’s manifesto promised no return to freedom of movement. Andy Burnham told Makerfield that he would respect the Brexit vote. Now Lab wants Britain to rejoin the EU’s free movement rules, but Angela is gaslighting us into believing that they aren’t.

Does the Government have confidence in their National Security Advisor? Do they agree the official secrets act is a matter of “loyalty” between spouses?
Jonathan Powell’s position as National Security Adviser is untenable. His repeated meetings with the CCP were disclosed not by the British Government, but by Chinese Communist Party read outs, and serious questions remain over his role in the collapsed China spy case. He is responsible for the Government’s disastrous Chagos negotiations and still advocates giving away billions in taxpayer money to surrender a British territory. He has refused to appear before many Parliamentary committees. Now, concerning material shared publicly by his wife raises further questions about his judgement and sharing access to sensitive information. If he were a Minister, he would have to appear in front of Parliament to answer for these glaring concerns. Instead, the man running our foreign policy and national security refuses any scrutiny. telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

ATTEMPTED LOOTING DURING PARIS RIOTS WITH 100 FRENCH POLICE OFFICERS JUST METRES AWAY! More footage from yesterday’s chaos in Paris. Rioters openly attacking police and attempting to loot an Audi showroom, despite around 100 French police officers being just metres away. Although I’m not entirely sure how they planned to fit an Audi into their backpacks? And yes, it really was as mad, chaotic and dangerous as it looks. This was no longer a peaceful protest. This was a riot. 📍 Cours de Vincennes, Paris 📅 Saturday 24 October 2026 🕠 Approximately 5:30 pm Filmed by me, on the ground, as it happened.
