"I didn't have the plate discipline and I was kind of a panicky two-strike hitter. I get to two strikes and I'd start expanding, especially on sliders and splits and change-ups." "So I just tried somehow to figure out a way where I could see the ball a little longer. So I just kind of spread out, got a little bit more flat-footed, trusted my hands, and all of a sudden I started doing at least a little better job of keeping the ball in play."
