What Abdul El-Sayedās victory shows us is that you do NOT need to capitulate to the right to win in a swing state. At no point did Abdul abandon trans folks, immigrants, or any community being used as the reactionary scapegoat. He stood ten toes down, and he won.

Google announcing that schools banning AI will also lose access to Google Search is a pretty good opportunity to teach the next generation that Google isnāt the internet and that there are plenty of alternatives to its platforms. Maybe itās time schools started exploring them.
