Polygon is building more than a blockchain. It's positioning itself as a major player in global payments, stablecoins, and institutional finance. Could this transformation take $POL toward $5?
At an illustrative circulating supply of 10.64 billion POL, a $5 price would imply a market capitalization of approximately $53 billion.
Here are six potential drivers behind the long-term bull thesis.
Polygon has reported more than $3 trillion in cumulative stablecoin transfer volume. Payment activity across its ecosystem involves companies including Revolut, Cash App, Deel, Paxos, and Tazapay.
As stablecoins expand across international transfers, business payments, and settlement, Polygon has an opportunity to become important infrastructure for moving money onchain.
Polygon completed its Coinme acquisition, expanding its regulated U.S. payments capabilities. Open Money Stack aims to connect fiat access, wallets, stablecoins, and onchain settlement.
A profitable payments business could strengthen Polygon's ecosystem and potentially create new ways to align business success with POL, including future token purchases.
Polymarket demonstrates the potential of consumer-facing applications built around Polygon infrastructure. Deeper strategic alignment could bring more activity and stronger incentives to support the ecosystem.
A major POL investment by Polymarket remains a possibilityโnot a confirmed commitment.
POL powers gas and staking on Polygon. Stronger network usage, sustainable token economics, and mechanisms connecting network activity to token demand could become important drivers of long-term value.
AggLayer aims to connect blockchains, applications, and liquidity. If widely adopted, it could help Polygon become a key part of a more connected blockchain ecosystem.
Greater decentralization, resilient infrastructure, transparent governance, and a clear economic model could help Polygon thrive beyond any single company.
Clearer positioning for $POL could also strengthen market understanding of its role in the ecosystem.
Polygon's opportunity goes beyond price charts. It's about making digital money easier to move, enabling businesses to settle payments onchain, and connecting traditional finance with blockchain infrastructure.
$3 trillion in cumulative stablecoin transfers is a milestone. Building a global payments network is the bigger ambition.
If Polygon turns growing adoption into sustainable business growth and stronger economic value for POL, a much larger valuation becomes a compelling long-term thesis.
Build real utility. Expand adoption. Strengthen POL's role. That's the vision behind $POL to $5.

Congratulations, everyone! As of October 26, Polygon Chain has generated 300M POL ($27M) in actual fees paid for network usage in 2026.
Around 200M POL of that came from Polymarket.
166M POL of the collected fees have been allocated for burning, almost entirely offsetting POL inflation for 2026.
The rest has been distributed to validators and stakers to secure the network.
Polygon is the first and only L1 to come this close to deflation while also directly distributing a share of priority fees to stakers.

You know which L1 is actually the most undervalued relative to its revenue?
POLYGON. $POL.
Polygon generated $1.88M in chain revenue over the last 30 days.
That puts it at #4 among L1s, right between Solana and BNB.
Now look at this insanity:
ETH: 29% less revenue, 302x larger market cap
SOL: 1.8x more revenue, 62x larger market cap
BNB: 26% less revenue, 100x larger market cap
HYPE: 3.6x less revenue, 18x larger market cap
AVAX: 4.2x less revenue, 4.1x larger market cap
ICP: 10.6x less revenue, 1.6x larger market cap
NEAR: 12.1x less revenue, ~6x larger market cap
And the funniest part? Most of CT degens still have absolutely no clue.
God, you guys are so fucking dumb sometimes. ๐
Top 10 L1 blockchains by monthly revenue
Everyone tracks market cap. But which L1s are actually capturing the most onchain value?
$TRX: $23.85M
$ETH: $6.04M
$SOL: $3.32M
$BNB: $1.49M
$HYPE: $520.9K
$AVAX: $451.1K
$MON: $357.1K
$INJ: $252.5K
$ICP: $177.0K
$NEAR: $155.6K
The standout is $TRX. TRON earned 3.9x Ethereumโs chain revenue over the past 30 days.
Ethereum is second and Solana third. The gap between the top two and everyone else is huge.
Compare that to market cap and it gets interesting. $TRX trades at about 108x a year of revenue at this pace, and $MON at 58x. $ETH is near 3,900x and $BNB over 5,300x.
Revenue isnโt the whole story. Chain revenue doesnโt count apps built on top, which is why Hyperliquidโs perps business doesnโt show up here. But itโs another way to compare blockchain economics beyond price and market cap.
