Is OTC trading something that’s needed/useful? 💈Thread We’ve seen instances in various communities lately where large holders wanted to exit, in a hurry. They end up selling in 1-3 tx’s & lose a good portion of funds through slippage. Even $250k +. @SidelotOTC solves this. 1/6

every crypto community already has the ingredients: holders, people who want in, people who want out, and people willing to build. what most are missing is a venue where those people can meet and trade directly. that’s the gap sidelot is going after. as a trader, the pool isn’t always where i want to execute. if liquidity is thin or my size is large relative to it, selling into the pool means eating the impact. sidelot lets traders post funded offers at their own price, including a premium or discount to a reference quote. tokens, payment and fees settle together in one transaction without touching the pool’s reserves. you still need someone to take the other side, but there’s a real alternative to market selling. the bigger idea is who gets to open these markets. holders and teams can launch an otc market for an existing coin and choose the wallet that collects its fee share. the standard launcher share is 0.25% of completed trade value, half the normal buyer fee unless you hold 15M then its 100% to the launcher aka you. that’s the distribution thesis. communities have an economic reason to bring traders into the product. launchers earn when deals complete, not just because another market was listed. where things stand: funded otc is available on robinhood chain and solana, including compatible token-2022 support. one-link deals now lets users share specific funded offers on robinhood. agent deal rooms can save trading requests and find matching funded offers, the holder waiver is live now, too. eligible buyers holding at least 15m lot skip the 0.25% platform fee on robinhood chain. launcher fees and gas remain. for someone who trades repeatedly, that creates a benefit they can actually measure against the cost and risk of holding the token. then there’s the burn side. as of november 1st, the dead address holds 131.36m lot, approximately 13.14% of the reported 1 billion supply. the next development priority is tokenized ai credit markets, before further chain expansion. that remains in development, alongside planned holder allowances. arbitrum, ethereum and bnb chain contracts are in the works. group purchases, gradual-release deals and sealed bidding also remain roadmap items rather than delivered features. that’s why $lot has my attention: a working product, a fee model that gives communities a reason to bring traders in, a live holder benefit, and a clear next product catalyst. @SidelotOTC

hey vlad, we’re building sidelot on robinhood chain. we let people launch their own otc markets for crypto and tokenized stocks, trade directly at agreed prices, and earn a share of their market’s trading fees. we’re also developing tokenized ai usage markets, where access to ai services can be bought and sold. the goal is simple: make creating a market as accessible as trading in one. what’s the path for independent builders like us to get these products in front of robinhood’s existing customers? we’d love to show you what we’ve built. usesidelot.com

a little love for the sidelot community. 💚 between the updates and everything we’re working on, we want to take a moment to say thank you. thank you for sharing our posts, asking questions, sending feedback, bringing friends along, and giving us a place in your day. we know your time and attention are valuable, and we appreciate you choosing to spend some of them here. one of the nicest parts of watching sidelot grow is seeing familiar names return and new people join the conversation. especially when someone who was asking questions a week ago is now helping someone else find their way. that’s something we want to carry with us as we grow: a community where people feel welcome, heard, and comfortable getting involved. to everyone who has been here from the beginning, thank you for giving us a chance early. to everyone just finding us, we’re happy you’re here. there’s plenty ahead, and it means a lot to have you along for it. much love, the sidelot team 💚🍃

private mode is now live on @SidelotOTC 🍃 use: usesidelot.com/private learn: usesidelot.com/docs/private-…
your wallet shouldn’t have to become part of your public profile. whether you’re a whale, a holder, or someone with a presence on x, we understand how important privacy is. we also know that finding an otc counterparty shouldn’t involve a tedious process. today, we’ll be introducing private mode on sidelot. you’ll be able to publicly post buy or sell requests, connect with interested counterparties, or discuss terms in a private room, all in one place, privately. wallet addresses will be obscured within this feature, so you can make your requests or profiles visible without putting your full wallet address on display. a simpler way to find the other side of a trade, with privacy built into the experience. make your intent visible. keep the conversation private.

we’ve put approximately $20,500 into development and recorded $LOT buybacks while building @SidelotOTC. 🍃 here’s the breakdown: $9,387 in ai purchases after cashback and refunds ~$11,067 in recorded $LOT buybacks 134.19 million $lot now at the burn address, or 13.42% of the 1 billion supply 🔥 for context, the token has generated 7.939 eth in processed creator fees. that is separate from the platform’s otc fees, and it isn’t proof that all of those funds were withdrawn or used to cover expenses. we’re putting real resources behind sidelot while we build out the otc experience and prepare tokenized ai markets. this is a long-term build, and we want you to be able to see the work and the numbers behind it. 💚 **accounting note**: the buyback dollar amount is an estimate using hourly eth prices at the time of the 75 recorded purchases through november 1. it excludes gas and later purchases; it is not the current market value of all tokens at the burn address. ai spending covers september 1–november 3 (we started building @SidelotOTC in Sept before going public).

as we get closer to rolling out tokenized ai on @SidelotOTC, we've been paying attention to what other builders in the space are creating. @AskSurplus is building an open market for ai inference, connecting people who need compute with available supply. @orbiodotso is making ai credits transferable and usable by agents. different approaches, but all pointing toward an interesting shift: ai usage is becoming something that can be bought, moved, and used in new ways. that’s where we see an opportunity for sidelot too. we’re working on a market for defined ai usage and credits, with clear terms around what’s being exchanged and how it settles. excited to see more builders exploring this space. 🍃

this is a milestone week for @SidelotOTC. we’re rolling out tokenized ai usage and credits to the public, following six weeks of development that began before sidelot’s public launch. a lot of work has gone into getting this ready, and we want everyone to feel prepared as we open it up. before getting started, please read through our knowledge base and review your allocations on the website. take a few minutes to understand how everything works ahead of the rollout. our testnet is already available, giving you a chance to explore the platform and get familiar with the process before mainnet: usesidelot.com/credits if you have any questions, our dms on x are open. please reach out whenever something needs clarification. thank you for your patience, your support, and for being part of what we’re building. much love, the sidelot team 💚
