I lost $500,000+ at 17. Not on paper. Real money I earned myself, gone in months. Nobody posts about this part, so here is the whole story. At 13 I started streaming Fortnite from my bedroom in the Netherlands. My first streams had exactly zero viewers. My brother was my entire audience for weeks. Then a friend told me to buy a camera. First stream with a face cam: 80 viewers. First lesson: presentation compounds talent. At 14 I earned my first real money from international Fortnite tournaments. At 16 I was making over 10,000 euro a month from gaming, with 12,000 people watching live at peak. So I quit school. No diploma. Walked out of the highest academic track in the Netherlands while everyone told me I was ruining my life. March 2020. Covid crash. Everything red. I got put onto $ADA and put $10,000 in at 7 cents while the world was ending. Twelve months later that position was worth $350,000. At 17 my portfolio hit $800,000. This is where the story usually ends when influencers tell it. Mine does not. I had a plan: cash out at $1 million. Clean exit, set for life at 17. The market got close to my number. I did not sell. Why would I? Everything I touched went up. I was not a genius. I was a kid in a bull market. There is a difference, and the market spent the next year teaching it to me. The top came in. I bought every dip on the way down. Told myself it always comes back. No school to fall back on. Gaming career already behind me. Zero plan B. I watched more than $500,000 evaporate while holding my own bag of hopium. Then, for dessert, I lost another $120,000 on Pixelmon. Yes, that Pixelmon. Here is what I did next, because this is the only part that matters. I did not quit. I did not get a normal job and pretend crypto never happened. I signed out of the Netherlands, moved to Bali, and spent 4 years rebuilding with one rule carved into my head: plan the exit before the entry. In 2025 I moved to Dubai. I promised myself I would only go once fully financially independent, and I kept that promise. In 2026 I launched Alpha Capitol at the bottom of the bear market. On purpose. Influencers are launching paid groups at the top when hype makes it easy. I launched mine when everyone said crypto was dead and I was deploying my own money. From inside it I called the $BTC bottom, and said I was buying $MSTR heavy at $83. The bottom was $82. I am 22 now. Some of you have followed me since I was a 13 year old streaming to nobody. You watched every chapter of this live. If you take one thing from these 9 years, take this: The $500K loss taught me more than the $800K peak ever did. You do not get paid for being right. You get paid for taking profit. Plan the exit before the entry. And if a kid who streamed to zero viewers can come back from minus $500K, whatever you are coming back from is survivable.
