Fed funds: 3.75%-4%. The 10-year Treasury closed at 5.05%.
That's a gap of more than a full point, so the bond market is already tightening on its own. Two Fed members still voted to hike this meeting, and December is priced at ~85%.
Bitcoin trades the long end of that curve, so 5.05% is the number to watch.

75% of the Bitcoin liquidations in the last 24h were shorts.
The push back above 80k came from shorts being forced to close. Real spot buying still has to show up, and the average US spot ETF buyer sits near 84k, still underwater.
Fed today. PCE tomorrow. $11B options expiry Friday.
Chop chop chop. bitcoin:native
874k $BTC were bought between 81k and 82.5k.
That's the real wall today, bigger than the Fed. A pause is 95% priced. Most of those buyers just want out at break-even, so every push into that zone meets sellers.
What Warsh says about December decides if we chew through it. 🤝

Sky Is DeFi's Federal Bank, Says Standard Chartered
$SKY (the old MakerDAO): Standard Chartered's 5x call, Galaxy's $100M, what Stage 2 pays holders, the bear case, the weekly chart and my plan.
Galaxy put $100M of sUSDS on its corporate balance sheet and made it collateral for 1,600+ trading counterparties. Clients keep earning Sky's savings rate while the loan is open.
A Nasdaq-listed firm now uses a DeFi dollar as working collateral. $SKY 🧵

Sky sent ~$5M to $SKY holders in September through buybacks and staking rewards, double August's ~$2.5M. First full month of its Stage 2 framework.
Burns went from 2.86M SKY in September to 7.37M in October. Small next to 23.4B supply. Staking is where the money moves. 🧵

Standard Chartered set a $0.32 target on $SKY for end-2028 when Sky traded near $0.065.
Six weeks later price is back there, while Galaxy put $100M into Sky's dollar and S&P and Moody's both rated the protocol.

2.11 longs for every short.
That's the average long/short ratio across Bitget, Binance, OKX, Gate and Bybit today, the most crowded long since July. It built up while $BTC slid all week.
When the crowd leans this hard into weakness, the flush tends to come before the bounce.

Ethereum kept $5.45M in revenue over the last 30 days. Sky kept $28.8M. Lido kept $5.08M on a $312M market cap, as much as Ethereum on a valuation over 900x smaller.
The cash is made one floor up, in the apps, and $ETH is still priced 175x above $SKY. If money rotates into DeFi, that gap is the trade.

Alt season needs Bitcoin to get boring first, and it’s nowhere near boring.
Total market cap is down 3.7% today, $BTC is down 0.9%, dominance sits at 59.5%.
When things get ugly, money still hides in Bitcoin. Until dominance rolls over, alt bounces get sold.
Polygon's earnings turned negative for 3 straight weeks: ~$290K in revenue vs ~$484K in token incentives in the week of Oct 12.
The jump lines up with the 7.7% $POL staking boost that started Oct 1, paid from 27.3M POL in fees the network already collected. It ends Dec 1. 🧵
