Detrimental empathy is its finest form.   I watched this with family, and my brother-in-law said he would have 100% transferred her to a female therapist as soon as that joke was paid; it’s a time bomb and career suicidal. And also said he doesn’t like it when family members are in the room with patients while he is working, they can easily get carried away with emotions and pain.

How could Ron genuinely believe Harry put his own name in the Goblet of Fire when they’d been best friends for three years? Ron knew Harry better than most people. He knew Harry never chased fame, glory, power, or popularity. If anything, Harry hated being the centre of attention. So why was it so easy for Ron to believe Harry would risk his life just to get more attention? Was Ron really that jealous, or did he simply not know Harry as well as he thought he did?

Sydney Sweeney trading red carpet glamour for a bold, sporty look. The oversized NOVAG 33 jersey, relaxed blonde waves, and minimal styling create a completely different vibe from her usual fashion appearances. What makes this look interesting is the contrast. The black-and-white design keeps everything simple, while the oversized silhouette gives the outfit a streetwear-inspired identity. A refreshing reminder that personal style doesn't have to follow the same formula every time.

One underrated sign of confidence is being able to laugh when the joke is on you. Colin Jost regularly finds himself in that position on SNL, especially when Michael Che writes jokes about Scarlett Johansson for him to deliver live. What makes those moments entertaining isn't just how brutal the jokes can be. It's the willingness to let the joke land without turning every moment into a fight to protect your image. In a world where people take public embarrassment so seriously, being able to laugh at yourself is a useful skill. Not every joke is harmless, and not every relationship works the same way. But the ability to take a joke without treating it as a defeat can make a real difference. youtu.be/eR5o5rkSxHI?si=BgF0…

First and foremost, disrespectful behavior should never be tolerated. Let alone in the worklace. It gives rise to serious consequences; such as unpleasant environment, decreased productivity and so on. At first brush, I’d say talk over your concerns with your boss in a nonthreatening and professional manner. Now I realize this is a difficult thing to do when you are going through this in real time. So often times, I tell my clients to take a step back and first use some mindfulness techniques. I then go through some simple things they can do to get grounded. Then, I tell them don’t react, focus on what they can control, don’t take things personally and focus on what they can control. Now, I say this knowing that people don’t change over night. You may have to be consistent in your message that such behavior is never acceptable. You may have to use a little psychology. So, the conversation might go something like “Boss, when you do that, it only makes me feel like you don’t value my work”. There are times when you must convey a stronger statement/message such as “I value all of your input, but that kind of behavior is unacceptable.” But you must then anticipate the bad boss’s comeback and have your response or action plan in place. For example, if the boss begins to rant and rave, you can leave and say, “I’ll come back when you are more receptive to my feedback. Remember, when you’re having a conversation with someone and they’re speaking, it’s important to listen to them. Really listen to them. Because there’s a difference between hearing someone and listening. make direct eye contact, turn your body towards them and truly engage in the conversation.

My coworkers used to joke that I was the only person in the office who could do everyone else's job but still couldn't get promoted. Then our biggest client demanded that I be the one to save their contract. I had worked at a marketing agency for three years. I handled difficult clients, fixed campaign mistakes, and stayed late whenever the team fell behind. But every time a team leader position opened, my boss, Marcus, chose someone else. One afternoon, I finally confronted him. Me: "I've been here longer than half the managers. What am I doing wrong?" Marcus: "You're good at following instructions. But leadership requires more than that." Me: "I've been doing half your team's work." Marcus: "And that's exactly why you're valuable where you are." I knew what that meant. They needed me too much in my current position to let me move up. So I stopped asking for permission to prove myself.

My dad told me to just "work hard for a couple of years and pay off my student debt." I make $62,000 a year. My student loan balance is $78,000 at 6.8% interest. Minimum payment is $850 a month. Interest alone takes $440 of that every single month. I’m paying $10,200 a year just to watch the principal barely move. No trips. No eating out. No extra spending. Just surviving. He paid off his entire degree working a summer job at a gas station in 1984. Then told me I’m just lazy.

Bianca underestimated how dangerous the man she was hunting really was. Jackal was a cold-blooded menace. The scariest thing about him wasn’t just how brutal he was. It was how calm he remained while doing terrible things.
