Tesla heard how hot it was at the 𝕏Takeover at GigaTexas and has released a new High Performance Umbrella.

Elon Musk has reportedly invested about $1 billion in Skydance, the company that now owns Paramount, Warner Bros., HBO, CBS, CNN and TNT Sports. (via Semafor, CNBC)
Semafor reports that Laurene Powell Jobs and other investors added equity around the same time. Neither Musk nor Skydance has confirmed it.

Tesla's board has formed a special committee to explore deeper ties with SpaceX, "including without limitation a business combination."
There's no deal yet, and any deal would need shareholder approval.

Ford has made the 2027 Mustang Mach-E official, and orders open today.
• Every trim now gets the extended-range battery: 88 kWh on Select and Premium, 91 kWh on GT and Rally
• Select RWD starts at $39,995, or $42,040 with the $2,045 destination fee
• New Trail package is $2,295 on the Select eAWD: $45,290, or $47,335 with destination
• Trail adds a 10mm front and 15mm rear lift, CrossClimate 2 tires and standard 400W Pro Power Onboard
• A cheaper new front motor keeps the same performance
Production starts Jan 4, 2027, and the Trail arrives in Q1 2027.
