So I was having a nagging network issue with our phones. Guess what the problem was.

I had a dream last night that @zachbraff was sitting next to me at a movie theater. I asked if he was JD from Scrubs. He got excited and said yes. I looked down and saw he was wearing a set of scrubs. He said a fan made them, they were crochet. What does this mean?

It is prettier on the diagram.

Found out last week that @waveshare00 makes a combo fan/nvme m.2 thingie for Raspberry Pi 5. Looks so much better than the huge m.2 hat I used to have.

For those keeping up, here is the wiring diagram for my Home Assistant-turn-on-and-off-my-SBCs thingie. Each type has its own little quirks and I had to use multiple methods across the circuit.

Thinking about becoming a communist. What should I read/watch to begin my journey?

Okay, this cubie a7s is a bit more complicated to turn on and off remotely than the other SBCs I am working with. I have the whole setup working now, but that was a slog.

For anyone following the saga. I have removed the chip from the isolator board and just wired it up inline. then wrapped it in heatshrink. Much better. The board hanging off the heatsink was kinda busted looking. Before and after.

i just got a text from my daughter.

Side A: microUSB to ethernet adapter affixed to raspberry pi zero 2w. Side B: Opto-isolator wired up to gpio holes. Purpose. Now I can turn the hardwired pi on and off using home assistant. I have one more to rig up like this. Then on to some kind of enclosure.

I didnt wanna buy a ethernet hat for my raspberry pi zero 2w, and I had a usb ethernet adapter. So I kinda made a hat. Ugly but functional.

Dang, I dragged my feet on getting a room for @HomelabFest now I gotta find a hotel nearby. Looks like rooms are filling up fast, this is gonna be lit.

Wiring up most of my single board computers to an esp32 through a set of optocoupler isolation boards. The idea is to be able to turn them on and off using home assistant. I already did a proof of concept on one, now it is just a matter of getting them all working like that one.

radio-tui, my first Omarchy plugin is approved. Simple internet radio player tui. Let's you add stations, favorite them and even has a now playing mode after you pick a station. You can also share your station lists by posting your json somewhere, and other can import it. plugins.omarchy.org/plugin.h… And if you don't want the plugin, here is the actual program repo. github.com/DEMedus/radio-tui

RSS feed and IRC are all we ever needed... we have strayed so far.

I don't know how to work github...

Taking stock of my currently disconnected computers. Getting them all updated and today, may flash some with new linux distros. I wish I could easily wipe the chromebooks and put linux on them, but these models require more work than I am will to do right now.

New ragebait idea: steal your mutuals tweets word for word and tweet it yourself @TXVB
