I have greatly enjoyed finding good homes for Mike's military history books, & of course, the oak bookcase I bought to house them is now free for other purposes!
My little collection of Eric Ravilious designed vintage Wedgwood china looks lovely displayed on the top. @DFRGEORGE

How "rich and strange" in real life - these wood engravings are among my favourites by Gertrude Hermes.
These are photos from the @river_rowing museum exhibition - on loan from the Ashmolean. The layers of complexity demand a second viewing! @deborahjvass @Salcathguide

To complete the 1 April images, I couldn't have a better choice available than this from Eric Ravilious. Lanston Monotype Almanack, 1929. By anyone's reckoning, that's one heck of a handsome ram! @ZwartblesIE I am not sure of the identity of the mythical figure. @ThatArtBlog – at South East, England

My garden still has a good scattering of flowers - gerberas, English marigolds, salvia, roses & some newly planted pansies. So perhaps this quietly charming jug of flowers is appropriate - Gwenda Morgan; "Flowers in Little Jug"; Wood engraving. 1949. @DFRGEORGE @deborahjvass – at South East, England

Unusual example of Eric Ravilious' war art, provoking quite a discussion on FB. "Coastal defences" (1940, held in the Museum of New Zealand) is one of his more austere & serious war paintings. The aircraft flying overhead looks strangely vulnerable. @ianyoung33 @DrLivGibbs – at South East, England
