As a liberal, I support this message. Free speech matters, even if you don't agree with it. And Democrats used to care about women's rights. Ideology has infected my party.
The idea that we would be attacked and removed for speech some fans disagree with is a hallmark of authoritarianism, pure and simple. And it's growing in America. You don't have to be on our side of the girls' sports issue to see the danger. As a conservative in Seattle, I am surrounded every single day by signs and beliefs I disagree with. Never once have I considered hurting someone or trying to silence them. This is the kind of activity and ideology that will destroy our country if we don't resist it.

So many unions, including teacher unions, have endorsed the campaign in Washington opposed to protecting fairness in girls' sports and parents' rights.
J.K. Rowling has published a new essay today - and she has some particularly strong words for trade unions and their treatment of women.
She accuses union leaders of abandoning working-class women in favour of their own “luxury beliefs”.
She also makes a powerful point about privilege: those championing trans ideology are often the people least likely to experience its consequences.
Think MPs such as Stella Creasy, senior BBC executives or NHS managers on six-figure salaries - compared with nurses sharing workplace changing rooms, rape survivors relying on support services or women in low-paid jobs.
Rowling also reveals that applications to her Women’s Fund involving private companies have fallen markedly, while publicly funded institutions continue to resist the Supreme Court ruling.
A damning indictment of organisations that are supposed to defend workers - not work against them.

Yesterday my son sat through a class where his teacher told him some people were born in the wrong body so they were the opposite sex or had no sex at all. I wasn’t informed this was part of the school curriculum (although I know it is). In the recent past parents were required to give permission for an adult, often outsourced non teaching staff, to speak to minor children about adult concepts like sexuality and gender identity. This is no longer the case. It is now up to us parents to know what our kids are being taught and by whom. Often kids are scared to tell because they know their parents, or any other reasonable adult, would be horrified and they are afraid of their parent making a scene. We need to reassure those kids that won’t happen so they don’t carry any confusion or anxiety they might be feeling about what they were being taught.

So I did a little digging, because I did not understand how a pride flag is OK, but this t-shirt isn't. You ready for this? The pride flag is considered "human rights" and an xx xy shirt is considered "political advocacy." The @ThornsFC should be shamed and shunned. Unacceptable.
I was just forcefully removed from a @ThornsFC game for the crime of wearing an @xx_xyathletics t-shirt. I am in shock. We peacefully wore our shirts. We were assaulted by fans. Then WE were forced to leave – with FORCE by stadium security. I am utterly in shock.
