Israeli forces killed at least 19 Palestinian children in #Gaza in October, an average of one child every 35 hours. Children have been killed at home, on the ruins of their houses and while returning from lessons. These are the children behind that toll: their faces, their names and the lives Israel cut short ⤵️

Ukraine did this after Cuba spent hundreds of millions of dollars treating thousands of sick Ukrainian children from Chernobyl. Cuba spent 20 years providing specialised care they couldn't afford in Ukraine. Ukraine paid nothing, voting to starve Cuba was their payment I guess.
Ukraine voting to starve Cuba but we're supposed to believe they are hereos and defenders of Europe?

Two pictures emerge from this vote. On one hand, the majority of humanity once again takes a stand against the genocidal US embargo. On the other, the number of countries opposing it has fallen precipitously. In 2022, I watched this same vote play out live from Caracas. Then, only two countries voted against: the US and Israel. Two abstained: Ukraine and Brazil. This year, the US appears to have strong-armed another 40 countries to either vote against or abstain. This is one barometer of the dramatic corrosion of political sovereignty that we are witnessing as empire enters its long decline.
BREAKING 🇨🇺🇺🇳 The UN General Assembly has overwhelmingly condemned the genocidal US blockade of Cuba for the 34th time.

Please, I urge the world to take this tweet seriously. Gaza is on the verge of facing another catastrophe. The rain is coming, and hundreds of thousands of families have no shelter to protect them. Tens of thousands of tents line the seashore, where families have nowhere else to go. Hundreds of thousands of people are living among the ruins of destroyed homes that may not withstand heavy rain. The tents we live in are torn and worn out. They were designed to provide temporary shelter for a few months, yet we have been living in them for three years. When the rain comes, water will pour into our tents, leaving children and sick people exposed to the cold and flooding, with no protection at all. Why must we live in such constant fear? Why don't we deserve a normal life, a safe home, and a winter we don't have to dread? Why must our children face this same fate year after year? Why must the world watch us drown every winter before taking action, instead of intervening now to prevent this catastrophe? Talk about Gaza. Do not remain silent. We are not asking for the impossible. We are asking for our basic right to live in safety and dignity, without fearing the rain as much as we fear the war.

Beyond our daily battle for food and basic survival a harsh arrival of winter has made warm clothes a matter of urgent necessity. Juggling all of this at once is an overwhelming daily struggle. Any compassion you show will mean more than words can express chuffed.org/project/191529-h…

Great tips from Brazil on how they turned things around for Lula online and offline: 1. Don’t ever engage, block far-right accounts immediately. 2. Don't debunk, focus on making new content on your platform. 3. Use all the tools at your disposal. 4. Be equally online and offline.

The Phoenix Library, which was built as the first library in Gaza during the genocide, needs your support to stay open. It is going through very difficult conditions and facing high operational costs. After students, readers, and poets finally found a sanctuary in Gaza, the library is now on the verge of closing. Please do not deprive them, and do not deprive the children of reading and having a safe space to rest. chuffed.org/project/200344-e…

We extract blocks of cement from the depths of the sea, from a ship that sank off the coast of Gaza 53 years ago, and recycle them for reuse. Here in Gaza, we don’t know the meaning of impossible.
In 1973, a Greek ship carrying cement sank off the coast of Gaza City, ending up at the bottom of the sea. Today, 53 years later, people in Gaza have begun heading to the shipwreck to retrieve the cement, which has hardened and deteriorated after decades underwater, in an attempt to recycle it and make use of it once again. Imagine how desperate things have become: people are now searching the wreckage of ships that sank decades ago for whatever cement remains.

This is a lesson for UK journos that they have complete impunity (& incentive) to build their careers and reputations on cadavers of minoritised peoples. It is a reward for stochastic terrorism pretending to be journalism

1,117 days since the genocide in Gaza started. 1,117 days of displacement. 1,117 days of bombings & shootings. 1,117 days of struggling to get the most basic human needs. Give to Gaza: chuffed.org/project/help-us-… One of the basic needs that Palestinians in Gaza struggle with is water. Every morning, people spend hours just to be able to fill up a couple of jerrycans. The Sameer Project provides water daily, and we are working hard on partnerships that will help us increase the amount of water we distribute. However, your material support is needed … consistently. Please consider setting up a monthly donation to our Food & Water Campaign: chuffed.org/project/help-us-… Other ways to donate include: paypal.me/mahertali (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") account.venmo.com/u/Maher-Al… (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

I don’t care about Israeli elections. Never in the short history of the Israeli entity did the killing, occupation or ethnic cleansing stop. No matter who was in control. A bloodthirsty society will always elect a genocidal demon in its image.

Gaza kids and families are being starved desperately fetching food and supplies. Most families rely on free food distribution centres which don’t provide them with the nutritions their bodies need. The winter is also coming. It’s terrifying beyond words.

Can you give just $10 a month? How about $20 or $50? Whatever amount you can consistently commit to makes a difference. Set up a monthly donation now: linktr.ee/thesameerproject?u… Monthly donations allow The Sameer Project to plan ahead, sustain distributions, and make informed decisions about how much food, water, medical care, and other essential assistance we can provide to families in Gaza. When funding is unpredictable, so is the aid people depend on to survive. Consistency is solidarity. After more than three years of genocide, Palestinians in Gaza deserve something they can count on. Commit to a monthly donation today. Even $10 a month helps us build a more reliable lifeline for families who have lost nearly everything. Make your solidarity consistent. One of the highlights of my time in Jordan was visiting UNWRA archives and examining the index cards and other records of the 750,000 Palestinians kicked off their land at the Nakba in 1948. They used to be kept in Gaza and were airlifted out at the beginning of the genocide- Israel has destroyed all the archives that remained. They form the best evidence for some form of reparations in the future and are now being scanned and digitalised
