Much reporting on the Dems' Oversight race boils it down to a narrative with AOC as protagonist, Nancy Pelosi as antagonist, and Gerry Connolly reduced to age/health if mentioned at all. Basically none of that is right in my personal opinion. We'll soon know how it shakes out...

The politics of SALT can be such that:
- Most Republicans don't want the deduction back and instead want something else
- Most Democrats don't want the deduction back and instead want something else
And yet:
- Under certain circumstances, the pro- SALT minority is empowered.
Or maybe, just maybe, incumbent parties tend to lose in inflationary environments.
It's nice to see someone admitting he was mistaken rather than just deleting the tweet and hoping few would notice or remember.

You probably already know that question wording matters a lot in polling. But this chart from @aedwardslevy/@CNN underscores the point: Public support for mass deportation varies from 62% to 33%, depending on how the question is asked. cnn.com/2024/11/17/politics/…
It's not like he would been able to stay in his current job long with Trump coming into office anyway.
The former governor of Maryland and mayor of Baltimore City, Martin O'Malley, announced his plans to quit his day job and officially launched his campaign to be the next chairman of the Democratic National Committee, he revealed in an interview with The New York Times. bit.ly/3OeO8c1

Issue priority answers are mostly post-hoc rationalization of vote. Most voters are long-term partisans & were never in doubt. What does it mean for someone who has voted for every Republican since Reagan or every Dem since Clinton to identify "the issue that mattered most"?
The AP is not actually part of the Constitution.
A spokesperson for Chuck Schumer claims David McCormick’s Senate race is undecided—even though the AP called it last week. trib.al/2YSeorA
