It’s going to take more than Hal Steinbrenner’s loyalty to end #Yankees title drought. newsday.com/sports/columnist…

Hal Steinbrenner keeps spending, but Yankees need to deliver

The Yankees owner has invested a ton of money in his team, but the franchise still hasn't won a World Series title in 17 years.

The World Series matchup is set! Either the Brewers or Rays will win their first championship 🏆

Aaron Boone will indeed be returning for a 10th season in 2027, the final guaranteed year of his contract, a source confirmed. @pcaldera was on it. #Yankees

David Lennon: MLB's position on salary cap took a big hit when Brewers swept Dodgers

The Brewers and their $154 million payroll, less than half that of the Dodgers, are in the World Series and await either the Rays or Guardians, whose payrolls are even lower.

Brewers outhomered the Dodgers, 7-1, in the NLCS. They were tied for the second-fewest HRs in MLB during the regular season.

Next generation of Baby Bombers is rising from the ashes of another #Yankees October flameout. And it’s a good sign these babies are as cranky in defeat as they are talented to change the narrative. newsday.com/sports/columnist…

Yankees came up short again, but at least they can believe in a new group of 'Baby Bombers'

The Yankees have a nice young core of players with excellent potential.

The only thing worse for Aaron Judge than a decade of #Yankees playoff failures was being powerless to help this time around. And knowing his chances for an elusive title are dwindling by the year. newsday.com/sports/columnist…

David Lennon: Could Aaron Judge have provided the Yankees a much-needed jolt? We'll never know.

The Yankees maintain that Aaron Judge was not physically capable of participating in the postseason.

Aaron Boone’s nine-year portfolio of empty-calorie Octobers sunk to a new low with #ALDS sweep by the Rays. His contract calls for a 10th, but #Yankees shouldn’t just rubber-stamp his return. newsday.com/sports/columnist…

David Lennon: If Yankees need to change something, should that include Aaron Boone?

The manager is well-liked by the front office and the players, but his postseason failures are getting tough to ignore.
