Utah head coach Morgan Scalley revealed during Saturday’s College GameDay broadcast that a conversation with Nick Saban about defensive schemes left him questioning his understanding of football. Scalley reportedly recalled Saban criticizing his defensive approach during a discussion about Cover 3 coverage, telling him, “Son, that’s not Cover 3. That’s three defensive backs watching a touchdown from different angles.” #UtahFootball #NickSaban #CollegeGameDay #CollegeFootball #ESPN

Drake Maye throws an INT, his 9th turnover of the season. Definitely not his fault here.

Urban Meyer says the internal pressure of coaching at the highest level became so extreme it almost killed him “I was an extremist. There were potholes in my career. It wasn’t really the outside pressure. It was the internal pressure that was overwhelming.” “It was fear. It was letting people down. When you’re a head coach at a place, you’ve got 50 to 100 people, families working for you. You have 100 players counting on you. You have this giant alumni base. Gator Nation, Buckeye Nation, whatever it is.” “When you sit and take that deep breath, you’re like, ‘Oh man. This is overwhelming.’ If something was out of line, I really struggled with that. It became miserable.” “I would try to take the foot off the accelerator at times, and I saw the product start to slip. So I’d jump right back in as that maniac. I was in almost all meetings. I was involved in everything. To the point it almost killed me.” “For high-performance people, it’s... I don’t want to say a disease because that’s strong, it’s an addiction... But that’s what fuels the greatness.”

And behind these two I’m always going to WAR!
