Remember when Red Baron was an American-owned company? It was started in Minnesota in 1976 by Schwan's Company. But in 2019, Schwan's was bought by South Korea's CJ CheilJedang. So today, Red Baron is owned by a South Korean company.
The 2024 Republican platform talked about putting America first, buying American, hiring American, and bringing manufacturing back home.
But do we really know who we're supporting when we go shopping?
I'm not saying people shouldn't buy Red Baron. I'm just saying we ought to know where our money is going. If we're serious about supporting American businesses and American workers, maybe we should start paying a little more attention to who owns the brands we buy.
