Missed a cool tactic in a 2+1 bullet game today. I played the equalizing Rxd5, but White has a winning shot here.

Best way to pick up a new opening: learn the bare minimum, and then immediately start playing it. Don't fall for the fallacy that you can purely "study" your way to opening understanding. Gotta get your hands dirty. Build your own roadmap, and worry about the details later.

The updated puzzle feature on @chesscom is really growing on me! 👍 At first, it felt a bit gimmicky, but I’ve been solving way more puzzles than usual. Mission accomplished. 🎯

I've been on the receiving end of this more times than I would like to admit, but is there anything more satisfying? 😎

You can now disable lines in your repertoire! This should make experimenting with your repertoire a lot easier and safer. Play the Sicilian but want to try out the Scandi? Just disable the Sicilian and you won't have to review those moves, or build out that line any further.

Guess who just re-discovered his first rated tournament success? 😁 @GothamChess, just as Fabiano Caruana, played their first ever rated tournaments at my Chess Club in New York. Levy scored a perfect 4-0 on his first try! Truly impressive! As the saying goes: “And the rest is history!” – at Benidorm, Spain
