The way an antisemitic heckler walks out of this Jewish comedian's show when he challenges her is the whole Free Palestine movement in a nutshell. She didn't care about defending Palestinians. She tried to make a Jew feel ashamed for existing, and when it didn't work, she just left. Good riddance.

🇬🇧 Strong interventions from Gay Men's Network lead, former criminal barrister Dennis Kavanagh, during today's Conversion Practices Bill committee evidence session: "It makes it a crime to say to your teenage daughter, I want you to love your body, I want you to grow up to be a happy lesbian, I don't think you're a man." "A chilling effect of the most tyrannical kind." "So poorly drafted, and so incoherent that it cannot be rescued." "This Bill is ripe for a definition of incompatibility." "That won't be a chilling effect, that will be a deep freeze" Watch the full evidence session on Parliament TV 🔽@MensNetwork1 @Jebadoo2 parliamentlive.tv/event/inde…

This is a v depressing sentencing appeal. Man with 162 previous offences including 55 for thefts burgles a Wagamama. Max sentence 10 years. An unelected quango nonetheless stipulates a guideline sentence of 6 months, or 12 months if “top of range”. Judge decides scale of previous offences means he should sentence outside the guideline. Appeal court reverses him. 15 months reduces to 7.

Brilliant questioning here from @NazShahBfd of Professor Ilias Trispiotis: she forces him to concede that - yes, ordinary parental conversations with their children will fall under the scope of this Bill and they will be criminalised
So Stonewall want a registry of Stonewall-approved therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists to be set up? What could possibly go wrong? Stephen Kiely from Stonewall is giving *very* strong Matthew Hopkins “Witchfinder General” vibes

In 1989 a young woman in St Louis came home after her first shift at Wendy’s to be murdered by her Palestinian father for dishonouring the family. Prosecutors were worried that American juries would never believe the logic of honour killings was a real thing as it sounded so alien to their values, and would then accept the parents’ claims of self defence instead. “Fortunately” the father was of course also a terrorist with links to a group that had bombed airports in Rome and Vienna, and that were planning to bomb the Israeli embassy in Washington DC. So the FBI had access to recordings from inside the home, and when these were checked the father could be heard planning the murder in advance, the victim’s older half-sisters were heard expressing excitement in advance, and the act itself was captured with the mother physically restraining her own daughter so her Palestinian father could stab her to death. The mother was a Brazilian Catholic who had agreed to “raise her daughter as a Muslim”. The father was sentenced to death but died of diabetes on death row. At the census the year after the murder, the number of Palestinian migrants (not Arab Americans claiming Palestinian descendence) living in the USA was recorded at 45.

Iconic. “Do you trust the Russians?” Harry Truman was once asked “No. They broke every agreement they ever made with me. That's why I don't trust them,” replied the 33rd President of the United States. 80 years later, nothing has changed…

This is astounding. The government's own figures show working-age welfare will go up by £60 BILLION by 2030, yet the Treasury has to rush out and correct the Chancellor to say there is no timetable for cutting the benefits bill. Looks like foot in mouth syndrome is spreading. John Healey couldn't even find £10 billion to get defence spending to 3% of GDP - the thing he quit over. Don't let anyone tell you this was a 'do no harm budget'. In doing so little, Labour have harmed our economic security and they've harmed our national security.

I want you all to know this. There are 650 MPs in Parliament. Yet the one MP chosen by @UKLabour to Chair the Bill Committee for the controversial, dangerous and dismally bad draft legislation, the Conversion Practices Bill, is Alex Barros-Curtis. Until July 2024, when Alex was given a very safe Labour seat in Cardiff, he was the Head of the Labour Party's Governance and Legal Unit in London. This was a department set up to investigate complaints against members of the Labour Party. Complaints of antisemitism, Islamophobia, abuse, and of course latterly, mostly women holding legally-protected 'Gender Critical' (sex realist) beliefs. Alex oversaw the investigation of hundreds of members who liked or tweeted gender critical or feminist views. I was one of them. He investigated me, as a sitting Labour MP, for 13 months. 13 months to 'investigate' one like of one tweet. I had a great lawyer, one of the names we're all now familiar with, and I had to crowdfund to pay for his (excellent) work. They first tried in 2020. But the screenshots crudely attached to that passive aggressive, threatening-sounding email from LP admin staff were so risible that I replied that it was too ridiculous for me to waste my precious time on. They left it. Years of Starmer bumbling and stuttering through interviews about whether he had spoken to me, whether he supported me, etc followed. My feminist sins continued apace. And then I 'liked' a tweet by my GC comedian friend @Glinner. He had mocked Eddie'Suzy' for comparing his choice to wear traditional women's clothing, fake plastic breasts and nails, to those being persecuted by the Nazis during WWII. I found his sarcasm, as a award-winning comedy writer in the face of such offensive narcissism amusing and so 'liked' it. I found it absurd and obscene that Izzard, an extremely privileged and wealthy man, who openly changed his 'gender' at will, should write himself into history falseley as someone who would have been oppressed due to a circumstance beyond his control. We all know the groups who were tortured, starved and killed... There is obviously more to my story, I will tell it all, it's just one chapter of the years of spiteful abusive and bullying practices meted out to me by the Labour Party managers. Not those who'd achieved office on merit, or even unexpectedly, but those in the club, often having failed to be elected themselves. So Barros-Curtis who we were repeatedly told led 'the many *independent* inquiries into women members and MPs like me, now often stands as a trans-rights activist on the Labour backbenches. He has also been gifted the role of Chair of this Committee and is a huge supporter of this Bill. And I am not a part of the Bill Committee, although plenty of TRA MPs are. Does that sound like the democratic scrutiny of legislation to you?

So, just to make sure I've got this right... I can punch and break a female a police officer nose on camera, and get away with it. I can call for people’s throats to be slit if I don’t agree with them, and get away with it. But if I write a few words on the internet I can go to prison for over 2 years. Got it.

Being a thieving junkie who has never made a positive contribution to society is now a feature of British citizenship. Until this mindset is reversed Britain will never once again be great.

You guys need to open a history book. The Arabs (who did not call themselves Palestinians back then) certainly chose to start a civil war with the Jews. Their aim was to rid the area of Jews. And the Arabs lost. They call this defeat the "nakba" teapawt.net/Greens4P/status/211577…
Palestinians didn’t ask for this. No one asks for dispossession, apartheid and ethnic cleansing. People of conscience have a duty to see this horror and work for a fully liberated Palestine, from the river to the sea.

Being called a "genius" by a man responsible for the biggest military fuck up of the century is hardly a compliment.
Vladimir Putin has described Elon Musk as “a real genius” just weeks after the tech billionaire slowed down his Starlink satellite service over Ukraine. The Russian president praised Mr Musk for his work in space and said his government was in close contact with the South African. Putin made the remark while listening to a presentation by Maksut Shadayev, the digital development minister, who said Russia had launched more than 30 satellites as it builds its own Starlink equivalent⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2…
