A teacher, a firefighter, and a nurse pay 6.2% Social Security tax on every dollar they earn. The cap is $184,500, so someone earning billions pays it only on the first $184,500.
That's why they should contribute with no cap, and at the very least pay the same rate a teacher, firefighter, or nurse pays.
