The Answer Layer.
The web is shifting from pages to prompts.
Users don’t click anymore - they ask. And monetization is moving from the page level to the inference layer: the exact moment an AI resolves a question, completes a task, or makes a recommendation.
That’s the Answer Layer - and every brand should own it.
In an AI-native internet, the Answer Layer is where users ask, decide, and act. It’s the new front door for every vertical. From Google to Amazon to Reddit, the world’s largest platforms are already deploying “AI Mode” across search, commerce, and discovery.
But here’s the opportunity: instead of licensing to Perplexity, be Perplexity for your vertical.
At Dappier, we help media companies, marketplaces, and trusted brands launch AI-native answer engines trained on their own content. Not chatbots. Not widgets. But branded systems that resolve user intent with context, trust, and monetization.
Owning the Answer Layer means:
🔍 AI-powered search
🧠 In-article, personalized answers
📄 Dedicated answer pages that rank
📦 Dockable widgets and SMS/social delivery
🤖 Syndication to LLMs—on your terms
📈 Feedback loops that make your content smarter and more valuable over time
It’s not a UX upgrade. It’s a distribution and monetization shift.
And it’s already working: AskMom.com and AskCafeMom—built with Dappier and WildSky Media—are redefining parenting search by turning expert content into conversational interfaces.
Being the answer engine for your vertical means owning the journey, the data, the monetization, and the relationship. Otherwise, you’re outsourcing all of that - to a generic LLM.
Your brand’s credibility is your wedge.
Your content is the differentiator.
And @DappierAI is the full-stack platform to help you capture it.
The Seinfeld acquired episode is truly fantastic, and the first podcast I find myself rationing - I’m looking for things to do rather than finding drives to go on. I don’t want it to end - great work @AcquiredFM

This is the pattern. The next bottleneck is serving thousands of specialist models fast and cheap. That's what @ZeroGPU_AI is built for.
We were able to fine tune an open weight model (Qwen3.5-9B) on proprietary internal data at @coinbase, and it out performed frontier models, at much lower cost and speed, for a specialized task (fraud prevention in this case).
I think we'll see more of this pattern inside companies. The frontier models are amazing generalists. But increasingly you'll see specialist models out perform on more narrow tasks, either working on teams, or by themselves.
We're making it easy to fine tune models internally for our employees. We even have a skill for it in our internal harness that makes it easy to spin these up and start training them:
"/fine-tune-and-serve-llm I want to fine-tune Qwen for payments risk review. help me get started"
I imagine we'll have some backend services that could be replaced entirely by this new architecture.

We embraced @ZeroGPU_AI at @DappierAI early on.
Cut costs on 40% + of AI tasks by leveraging SLMs running at the edge.
As @GavinSBaker mentioned on a recent episode of @theallinpod the vast majority of tasks do not require frontier models; the recent report from OpenRouter underscores this.
ZeroGPU is building a new kind of inference cloud using Small Language Models - SLMs - orchestrated and running across a variety of edge devices, freeing up data centers for higher leverage tasks.
Every nook and cranny of compute will be taken up and is the greatest bottleneck to AI progress - creative solutions like ZeroGPU will help meaningfully unlock the market.
Give them a try!
Not every task needs a frontier model.
More than 40% of OpenRouter spend is already SLM-ready. By switching to the right small language model, you can reduce latency, cut costs by 5x.
We have more models coming soon. Stay tuned!

Not every token needs a frontier model.
40.5% of @OpenRouter spend is SLM-ready.
@ZeroGPU_AI has models that can cover all these flows with SLMs
- workflow execution: 19%
- classification: 9.8%
- extraction + transformation: 8.3%
- summarization + tool dispatch + memory: 3.4%
Right model. Right task.
We have more models coming soon. Stay tuned!

Came across @ZeroGPU_AI (zerogpu.ai) - edge inference network that’s 10x faster, 50%+ cheaper, and 20% more accurate. Fewer tokens, better answers. This feels like the future.
We just launched on @ProductHunt 🎉
Most teams are overpaying on AI. Tasks are being sent to expensive frontier models. It’s token overkill.
That’s why we’re building small language models, lowering costs by up to 50% and reducing latency by 10x.
We just launched a new ad format for AI chat that outperforms traditional display ads by 5x.
Here’s how it works:
Users chat directly with brands inside websites’ AI chat or search (we power ad-supported AI agents across 100+ sites).
Advertisers can use their existing creatives to create their own brand agent, which surface as a sponsored prompt suggestion when users have a relevant conversation with a site’s AI agent.
These new ad formats run on existing pipes with industry leading partners creating an Open Web alternative to ChatGPT’s closed ecosystem for advertising.

The handoff between agentic browsers and publishers is going to be one of the most important opportunities in media.
AI Browsers: Threat Or Opportunity For News Publishers? tvnewscheck.com/ai/article/a…
It is clear as day now that answers are becoming a primary interface.
If you have an audience and a unique POV it’s time to launch your answers business today.
People want answers and the old web is incompatible with the new.
The ChatGPT ads launch was a bombshell and highly anticipated.
@DappierAI we bet early that conversational interfaces were going to eat the web and bring them to any site with a next gen ad stack built in.
If you’re a publisher, it’s time to get going. The revenue that stems from monetizing decisions is going to change everything.
