Ukraine strikes back at Russia's oil exports.
A large Ukrainian drone wave reached St. Petersburg and Leningrad region overnight. Russian authorities said 57 drones were downed, and Pulkovo suspended flights as air defenses worked across the region.
Initial monitoring reports say an oil-loading port was likely hit and a storage tank caught fire.
That is the real significance of the raid. Russia's Baltic oil ports are part of the export system that turns energy into revenue for the state waging war on Ukraine.
If the terminal hit is confirmed, this was not simply a drone raid near Russia's second-largest city. It reached into the export network that helps pay for the war.

I am grateful to all of you who are trying to keep Europe and the United States together.
There are so many people with good hearts in America who sincerely want evil to lose and Ukraine to stand strong. These are the very hearts that helped Europe defend its freedom, and that fought on D-Day, won the Cold War, and want what is best for Europe. Hearts that want to be allies, not to divide or humiliate Europe. I believe most Americans still feel this way. And at the end of the day, the American people will have their say.
Putin will listen to America if America really turns up the heat on him and makes one thing clear – either he chooses peace, or he gets no more money for his war.

At the UN General Assembly, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister @Mariana_Betsa said that about 1.6 million Ukrainian children remain under temporary Russian occupation or control, while Russia continues to forcibly deport, transfer, militarise and assimilate Ukrainian children.
Mariana Betsa stressed that more than 20,000 cases of the illegal deportation and forced transfer of Ukrainian children have been documented, while only 2,525 children have been returned.
She condemned Russia’s policy of using education and indoctrination to erase their Ukrainian identity, language and history.
The international community must increase pressure on Russia and take concrete action.
We continue working until every Ukrainian child is brought home.

Today, we have some incredible news from Spain.
After years of campaigning, Nueva Pescanova has officially abandoned its plans to build the world’s first commercial octopus factory farm.
This is a monumental victory—not just for octopuses, but for everyone fighting for a more compassionate and sustainable food system.
Octopuses are among the most intelligent and complex animals on Earth. They are solitary, highly curious wild animals that simply do not belong in factory farms. Had this project moved forward, it would have opened the door to an entirely new industry built on the intensive confinement of one of the ocean’s most remarkable species.
This victory didn’t happen by chance.
It is the result of years of tireless work by my incredible colleagues at @CIWF_Global , alongside scientists, NGOs, supporters, and more than 43,000 people who took action by contacting the Port Authority in Spain.
To every single person who signed a letter, sent an email, shared the campaign, or stood with us—thank you. You helped stop a cruel industry before it could begin.
While today is a day to celebrate, our work isn’t finished. Interest in octopus farming still exists in other parts of the world, and we’ll continue fighting to ensure this cruel industry never gains a foothold anywhere.

The situation on the front, together with our long-range sanctions and mid-range strikes, is creating a new atmosphere around Putin. A very toxic atmosphere. He alone is the reason this war began and hasn't ended. Putin alone is responsible for the losses Russians continue to suffer. His retinue understands this – they are signaling it to us and to our partners. Russian society is beginning to feel it more and more as well. We need decisions to bring about peace.

The people of Sudan must not disappear from our conscience because their suffering is not dominating the headlines.
Families are facing hunger, displacement, disease, and the daily terror of war. Children are paying a price no child should ever have to pay.
Compassion must become action. I am praying for the people of Sudan and calling on the global community to protect civilians, expand humanitarian access, and pursue peace with urgency.
