Me dê a fé da minha mãe.

E a reação do Reddit mostra pra onde a internet tá indo.
Reddit's earnings call has exposed the new reality for thousands of companies.
"AI mode does not drive traffic. Not for us and not to anybody as far as I know. It used to be a traffic driver. Now it's not." - Reddit CEO.
The reality is that AI is fundamentally changing the way that humans access the internet.
Just 24 hours prior to this statement, Google's stock erased -$480 billion on the same issue: AI is disrupting the traditional search model.
For decades, the internet operated on a simple model. Search engines directed users to websites, and those websites monetized the traffic.
AI is destroying this business model, and it's happening at an accelerating pace.
The traditional model of internet traffic is rapidly becoming outdated.
The internet has entered a new era.

In my Counseling in the Church course this week we talked about counseling through evangelism and visitation.
I’m curious: how many pastors and churches today practice regular, systematic visitation for care, connection, and catechesis?

Joel Beeke with a convicting challenge to prioritize family worship and just do it.
It’s been such a blessing to me and my young family to have daily family worship. As Beeke reminds us, “God is worthy of this.” It doesn’t have to be exhausting — even 5-10 minutes a day, he says.
In closing, he challenges us that neglecting it could be taking God for granted.
“You’re not even going to get down with your family on your knees for 5-10 minutes a day to acknowledge the God to whom you owe everything?”
The edifying and excellent FIEL Conference in Águas de Lindóia, Brazil, is now over. The speakers preached through the entire book of Ephesians to 1500 attendees, consisting mostly of Brazilian ministers (photo 1, the speakers, interpreters, and conference leaders). All the speakers unveiled the theological, experiential, and practical beauty of this wonderful Pauline epistle, which repeatedly addresses the Trinity working in various facets of saving grace. I had the privilege of preaching (1) on Paul’s moving, trinitarian prayer for the Ephesian church (Eph. 3:14–21), (2) on the Spirit-filled life as a Christian and in marriage (Eph. 5:1–33), and (3) on gaining the victory over Satan in Christ through wearing the Christian soldier’s seven pieces of armor (Eph. 6:10–24)—with Leandro Pasquini as my conscientious interpreter.
On Thursday, I enjoyed a special time of fellowship with Tiago Santos (photo 2), a dear friend and brother who serves as the CEO of FIEL, as a theological professor, and as a pastor. We talked over various ways we at RHB could continue to partner in supplying books to FIEL to translate and publish in Portuguese. I am so grateful for our partnership with FIEL. God is doing great things through this ministry also in other Portuguese-speaking lands, including Angola, Mozambique, and Portugal.
Another highlight was being gifted a beautiful, quality facsimile of a New Testament manuscript from the book of Philippians, carefully crafted by a Brazilian brother named Vinicius, who bequeathed this treasure to me in appreciation for the impact my books in Portuguese has had on him (photo 3).
We also met a precious couple, Gustavo and Rosangela, and his guide dog, Axel (photo 4). They expressed appreciation for my writing in “Puritan Reformed Spirituality” on the subject of the law and gospel. Gustavo, who is a Christian Jewish man with theologically Reformed convictions, finds this material to be very helpful as he evangelizes fellow Jewish people. They also appreciated my prayers for the Jewish people in a time when there is so much antisemitism.
We left the conference, grateful for the addresses and refreshed by the warm fellowship. What is usually a 2.5 hour drive to the São Paulo airport turned into 4 hours, due to rainstorms and two accidents. The ominous clouds, however, were beautiful. Jorge, our taxi driver, put his driving skills to good use in the heavy rain.

Sinclair Ferguson warns ministers against an "oppositional tone" in preaching, where the pastor preaches in an "attack mode" and is "coming down upon the people instead of bringing them up to the Lord Jesus Christ."
He says there is a way in which men can even preach the great indicative truths of the Scriptures in an imperative tone because of the preacher's affections.
Sinclair includes this great line that the people need to hear that "the only interest Jesus has in their sin is to get rid of it."
Really convicting stuff here for preachers.

GK Beale on how praying from the “Valley of Vision” every day has been a great help to his prayer life. And how he strives to turn Scripture into prayer and memorize it so he can pray from the Word more.
Here’s a man who is one of the most influential biblical theologians of our day. And what’s at the core of his daily life? Prayer. And prayer from the Word especially. So seek the deep things and do the hard work of theology. But never forget the basics and how important these things are for all of us. We all need to be devoted to prayer.

Pastor: For whatever reason, you may be coming into Friday behind your desired progress in sermon prep. You may be feeling pressure to produce something better than what your remaining time will allow.
Don’t take shortcuts. Don’t parrot commentaries. Don’t compromise. Don’t let AI ghostwrite any portion of your sermon.
As Paul extorted Timothy: “Do your best” (2 Tim 2:15).
Your best work for your church in your limited time is better than plagiarizing the work of somebody or something that doesn’t know your people at all.
