Mike edited the story. He also insisted on writing dialog. I told him I didn't need it but whatever. It was clearly run thru AI. I ditched the dialog. I told him he'd be credited as editor. He said cool. I thanked him, and he said any time. End of story.
The artist couldn't even work off some of the pages because the AI left some fluff in. what was supposed to be one panel would really need to be three. I then edited those pages by adding or removing panels. Even had to add a page.
Now because his boyfriend got nuked it's a problem. And he's leaking the book.

No... Seeing as how your "script" was just a deritive of the original story, so I kept the original elements you were given to work with, kept my parts I told you to put in, and changed up the dialogue and beats and created my own derivative of the original story I licensed from another party. I'm not dumb, Mike. I know you too long. The script was redone a week after you gave it to me. I just needed you to go through the mess of an encyclopedia I was given and hack out the fluff. So thanks for that. It's why you're only getting an editor's credit. And don't worry. You'll still get your comps.
