Reminds me of the Damilola murder. So sad

English culture where less talented players try to ruin talented players careers. Full of envy
What happened to Dowman yesterday is exactly why some of the best wingers in world football don’t want to play in the Prem. Why would you want to play in a league where you’re punished more harshly for reacting than a person who puts in a tackle that could potentially injure you?
Never forget

You blew up with the best chance you’ll have of finishing 4th! Is that the strategy?
So basically they got away with it
Man City to face HUGE points deduction which will guarantee relegation - and more could come next season - but they won't be sent down to League Two, insiders tell OLIVER HOLT trib.al/7JKSMj8
It doesn’t matter what we do, what we win, how we play, we’ll always be criticised
So as long as we’re winning I don’t think any Arsenal fan should care one bit about what neutrals think
Arsenal are reigning champions, have lost just once all season and won again on Sunday.
So why do they look so unconvincing?
Their fans may not care if, as seems likely, they defend their title… but Mikel Arteta’s side remain a tough watch.

Noni Madueke is the epitome of hard work. We all know he isnt world class but my god does he try and try again. Thats how you make your own luck in football. Critique is needed but some of you need to shut the fuck up and support instead of abusing our own for rivals acceptance.
english teens are online debating over whether ex footballers calling youtubers fat is a step too far, we are never gonna make it

Ken Friar is Arsenal.
In 1946, a 12-year-old local boy kicked a ball under manager George Allison’s car outside Highbury. Allison was impressed by his enthusiasm and gave him a matchday messenger job. That kid started full-time in the box office in 1950 and never left.
Without Ken Friar, Arsenal would not be the same today.
He rose through the ranks to become club secretary, then managing director in 1983. For nearly two decades he ran the day-to-day club, negotiated contracts, protected Highbury’s character, and kept Arsenal’s values intact through changing times.
When the club needed a new home, he stepped away from the MD role to drive the Emirates Stadium project with Danny Fiszman — delivering one of the most complex builds in football history on time and on budget.
He described Arsene Wenger as like a younger brother and said he didn’t think they could have built the Emirates without the success and stability Wenger brought.
In 2020, after more than 70 years, he stepped down from the board and was named life president.
There’s a bridge named after him outside the Emirates and a statue of that boy chasing the ball.
Ken Friar didn’t score the goals or lift the trophies. He was the constant — the living memory, the steady hand, and the quiet guardian of everything Arsenal is supposed to stand for.
He spent 80 years of his life at Arsenal Football Club. From 1946 to today.
Ken Friar, thank you.

This is pretty astonishing:

As is the response from Deloitte Cyprus: it didn't comment "because the documents were more than 20 years old and no longer accessible."
They certainly seem to be accessible...
If this guy went to the parade, he’d be complaining that it was too loud. Every tweet I see from him is negative

The logic that the Premier League should let the market rip -- owners spending what they want! no cost controls! get rid of red tape! -- is disingenuous in lots of ways.
But it also forgets that the hated red cartel have advantages they don't use, too.
