In June 1986, 52-year-old heavy equipment operator Bruce Nickell returned to his home in Auburn, Washington, with a severe headache. His wife, Stella Nickell, handed him an Extra-Strength Excedrin capsule from their medicine cabinet. Minutes later, Bruce collapsed unconscious on the floor and died at Harborview Medical Center. The county medical examiner attributed Bruce's sudden death to emphysema and heart failure. To anyone else, that would have closed the matter. But for Stella, it was a financial disaster: She had taken out multiple life insurance policies on Bruce totaling $176,000. A crucial clause guaranteed an additional $100,000 payout if Bruce died an accidental death. A natural heart failure ruling meant she forfeited the accidental death indemnity, leaving her with only the base coverage. Six days later, 40-year-old bank manager Susan Snow woke up with a headache in nearby Auburn, took two Extra-Strength Excedrin capsules from a newly opened bottle, and collapsed dead on her bathroom floor. During Susan Snow’s autopsy, the medical examiner detected the telltale odor of bitter almonds: Toxicology screening revealed a massive, lethal concentration of potassium cyanide in her blood. Police tested the Excedrin bottle in Snow's kitchen and found three remaining capsules packed with cyanide powder. The FDA and manufacturer Bristol-Myers launched an immediate regional recall, pulling hundreds of thousands of pain relief bottles off retail shelves across the Pacific Northwest. Seeing the news coverage, Stella stepped forward: She walked into the police station reporting that her husband Bruce had died days earlier after taking Excedrin from a bottle in their home. Detectives exhumed Bruce's body and tested the brain and tissue samples: his body contained lethal concentrations of cyanide. Stella handed over two bottles from her home, both contained cyanide-spiked capsules. Federal investigators noticed a startling statistical anomaly: Out of hundreds of thousands of recalled bottles across the entire state of Washington, only five tainted bottles were ever found: two in retail stores, one in Susan Snow’s home, and two inside Stella Nickell's house. The mathematical probability of one household purchasing two separate poisoned bottles from two different stores at random was calculated at one in several billion. Forensic science and federal agents unraveled the murder scheme: FBI laboratory microscopists analyzing the seized capsules discovered green speckles mixed into the white cyanide powder. Spectroscopic analysis identified it as algae destroyer used in domestic fish tanks. Stella owned a large home aquarium. In her kitchen, she had crushed the cyanide using the exact same mortar and pestle she used to grind fish algaecide tablets, transferring microscopic traces into the poison. The Library Trail: Federal subpoena records revealed that someone had borrowed books on poisons and toxic chemicals, including Human Poisoning and Deadly Harvest, from the Auburn public library. The checkout cards bore Stella Nickell’s signature, and FBI latent fingerprint examiners lifted eighty-four of Stella's fingerprints from the library book pages detailing cyanide extraction. Stella's adult daughter, Cindy Hamilton, took the stand, testifying that her mother had spent months openly researching ways to murder Bruce for the life insurance payouts. In May 1988, Stella Nickell was convicted in federal court of five counts of product tampering, including two causing death, marking the first time in US history that the Federal Anti-Tampering Act of 1983 was successfully used to convict a killer of murder. She was sentenced to ninety-nine years in federal prison.

The next 15 days. A simple day-by-day prediction. Bookmark this. Trump just lost the House and the Senate. His own vice president said it plainly: “We lost because of this war.” Netanyahu also lost his majority in Israel. His side still doesn’t have enough seats to control the government. Both leaders have been weakened by this war. They have less to lose now and fewer reasons to hold back. Next 48 hours: The U.S. military already has a 3-day strike plan ready. Three aircraft carriers are in the area. Trump said, “We are ready to go.” I don’t believe the claim that there are “no plans for immediate action.” Days 3–4 First strikes hit Iran’s missile bases, drone factories, IRGC command centers, and energy sites. Iran hits back at U.S. bases, Saudi oil facilities, and UAE refineries. Oil jumps overnight from about $102 to $150 a barrel. Days 5–7 They go after “Pickaxe Mountain,” the deep underground site near Natanz. Trump has already named this place. Regular bombs probably can’t destroy it, which is why people are talking about using a nuclear weapon. Iranian TV has started telling its 90 million people what to do if they see a bright flash. Days 8–10 Iran still has 440 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%. That’s enough material for roughly 10 nuclear bombs. Some Iranian lawmakers want to push enrichment up to 90%. Iran shuts down the Strait of Hormuz. The Houthis block the Red Sea. Two major oil routes are cut off at the same time. Oil hits $200 a barrel. Days 11–13 Gas prices in the U.S. go over $8 a gallon. Airlines cut flights. Trucks stop moving. Japan, South Korea, and India start running out of fuel. The stock market goes from a correction to a full crash. Days 14–15 The new Congress tries to cut off war funding (even though they don’t officially take power until January). Netanyahu stays in office as a “wartime prime minister.” Leaders don’t usually get replaced in the middle of a war. There are only two outcomes for that uranium: it gets destroyed, or it gets turned into bombs. There is no third option. They lost the elections. Now they have to win this war before January. This is my read of the situation. Every step above is based on plans, targets, or statements that have already been made. Bookmark this and check back around November 25 to see how close it was. Some sources are calling this week “the calm before negotiations.” I’ll keep posting what I see without spinning it either way. Share this with anyone who thinks the war is about to cool off.

I'm 52 years old. I have terminal Stage IV esophageal cancer. And my life has become something I never could have imagined. I have metastatic adenocarcinoma with signet-ring features. It's spread to my liver, lymph nodes, stomach and peritoneum. The surgery that was supposed to potentially save my life was aborted when they discovered it had already spread. I've been through chemotherapy. I've had a stent shoved down my esophagus just to help me swallow. I've lived with a feeding tube. I've had to rethink something most people never give a second thought to: eating. A cheeseburger. Pizza. A normal meal with my family. Things that used to be completely ordinary have become things I miss. Every meal is a calculation. Calories. Protein. What can I swallow? What will hurt? What will stay down? How much can my stomach tolerate? I deal with nausea, abdominal pain, strange sensations throughout my torso, swallowing difficulties, and the constant uncertainty of what is happening inside my body. I monitor blood markers. I read CT scans. I research clinical trials. I look at experimental treatments and scientific papers, trying to find something, anything, that might give me more time. And there's a particularly cruel part of terminal cancer that people don't always understand: You can look relatively healthy. You can walk every day. You can laugh, read, have conversations, research things, and make plans. Meanwhile, you know there's an incurable disease growing inside you. You become acutely aware that the future everyone else takes for granted is no longer guaranteed to you. I have a wife. I have children. I have things I still want to experience, conversations I still want to have, and memories I still want to make. I've even started leaving little handwritten messages around the house for my wife to find someday. Things I want her to know when I'm no longer here to tell her. I'm not writing this because I want anyone's pity. I'm writing it because terminal cancer is so much more than a diagnosis or a statistic. It's an entirely different existence. It's fighting for your life while simultaneously trying to figure out how to keep living it. I don't know how much time I have. Neither does anyone else. But I'm still here. Still walking. Still researching. Still looking for treatments. Still trying to eat. Still making plans. And I'm not done fighting. If you're healthy, don't take the ordinary things for granted. You have no idea how extraordinary they are until they become difficult or impossible.

As a military conflict, Iran has been the greatest success in the history of modern warfare. As a major campaign issue it has been a disaster. One is reality the other politics. In the American political system, I'm afraid the latter matters more.

In 2027, a desperate APC will mobilize the security forces to rig the elections and party thugs will only play a supporting role. Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso should be prepared for this possibility. Bookmark this tweet.
Dear Nigerians, read what I’m about to say and watch this video carefully. The thugs APC will send are on hard drugs so they will come with ginger. However, they’ve never faced a real fight and they have never faced a determined crowd. See how they were gingered and advancing at first? What happened when a few brave people faced them? They stopped moving. What happened when more people joined the brave people? They started running. Their eyes cleared immediately! Them no get liver and they fear death more than anything. They know what an angry crowd can do. Best part? As you are watching this, thugs around the country are also watching and are rethinking their decisions. In 2020, we repelled thugs during EndSARS in 2027 we would repel them again! 2027 is your ticket to a better nation. Protect your votes, be brave. Don’t let anyone take your right to a better country from you. Come out and vote wisely, OK?

I deleted this girl’s contact and removed her from my snap because she posted tinubu on her status. She reached out to my friend to ask what happened, and when I explained, my friend said I was overreacting. So I blocked her too…

This is CENTCOM inviting Iran to escalate while the Vice President is attempting to negotiate with the Iranians. This is, as CENTCOM calls it, “policy by CONOP,” when the military finds a way to subvert the White House without blatantly disobeying the President, by taking actions that will ensure a war escalates or perpetuates. This tactic was implemented over & over again in the War on Terror in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, etc. Many Americans died, needlessly. The Iranians have made it clear that they won’t accept negotiations while under threat of escalation. Iranian leadership has stated there will either be war or there will be peace, but they will not sit idly by and wait for the next attack & they won’t tolerate being slowly strangled by sanctions. Imposing more sanctions, & publicly broadcasting that we’re imposing more sanctions, is brash provocation. The midterm results sent a message that the President should find impossible to ignore: the American people do not support this war. We want out. The VP is currently in negotiations to end it, & a new Chief of Staff was chosen under the auspices of helping the President do just that. CENTCOM announcing this escalation is the military working directly against what President Trump is attempting to accomplish. If the President had any desire to escalate, he’d simply do it. Instead, thankfully it appears he is attempting more diplomacy, and CENTCOM must support that. It’s become abundantly clear that the President needs to install a new national security team, one that’s not tied to starting the war and that can instead end it. To do that, he needs people who can & will get the national security state under control, not submit to it.

You will discover reasons for yourself if you ever are in a fox hole
I'm an atheist, and I'm willing to examine evidence that could change my mind. So here's my challenge to religious believers. Give me ONE compelling argument for God's existence that doesn't simply rely on quoting your holy book, describing a personal feeling, threatening me

Imagine getting 11x your money and not being happy...
A company in my portfolio just sold for 11.6x what I put in. I wasn't happy about it. That sounds insane, so let me explain how this actually works... I run a pre-seed fund. I'll back 40 companies knowing most of them won't return real money. The math only works if a couple of them go enormous. An 11x exit gets the money back and a little more. For Seed VC funds, that barely moves the needle. #VC #VentureCapital
