We must stop the privatisation of the British Library. It belongs to all of us...
Privatisation of British Library: To be asset stripped, destroyed like water companies & Royal Mail: BL management will close reading rooms, converting them into paid, private spaces operated by commercial company. They propose outsourcing in-house security. Stop this rip-off.

Well WAITROSE, it looks to me that you condone aiding the deaths of those who can't take folic acid. Tell me why not?

@Waitrose has closed the door on a customer trying to avoid synthetic folic acid. After weeks of correspondence (Case 19308882) they wrote: “Please refer to my email on 20/10, where I advised that we are unable to assist you further on this matter, as all available information has already been shared. Please note that while any further correspondence will be logged on your file, it may not be responded to.” One slice of fortified bread is fine. Ordinary daily intake of bread + cereal + pie/pastry + biscuits easily exceeds 300–450 μg — well over the 200 μg level previously advised for over-50s because of B12-masking risk. A substantial part of Waitrose’s core customer base is over 50. They have no system to identify folic-acid-free products and no plan to warn customers about cumulative exposure. @ClareCraigPath has highlighted the issues with unmetabolised folic acid and the limits of the safety data. Retailers following the mandate still have a duty to consider cumulative effects under the Food Safety Act.

Gov has made it almost impossible to avoid folic acid. Manufacturers and retailers are not helping either @waitrose What are people with cancer, heart stents, B12 deficiency and those who don't want an increased risk of cancer meant to do?

They use DEW, developed by DARPA (like the Bioweapon-vaccines), to cause bushfires and forest fires, driving people into cities. Which are planned to be future "Human Settlement Zones" and ghettos. They then blame the fires on man-made Climate Change!

"Papers Please" to get online? We say NO! @andyburnham Before putting millions of adults through an ID checkpoint to access social media, the Government and the platforms should have to explain why the information they already have isn't enough - and how requiring every single user to prove their age using government-issued ID can possibly be: - Necessary - Proportionate - Or indeed safe in itself - given databases are compromised ALL THE TIME #dontidtheinternet

🚨Note that this hasn’t made headlines but it should! They want to make money out of the nature they don’t own. I discuss this at length in my book. But let me give you the brief version. Straight from the UN and into U.K. legislation The central idea is to turn nature into a financial asset class that makes huge returns for investors. Forests, rivers, soil, biodiversity,… will all be measured, certified, packaged and sold as investment products.. to banks corporations and institutional investors. And the Government will force regulation and make taxpayers create the demand. The UN calls it “natural capital”. I call it theft of earths produce They are going put a financial value on everything nature does, creating a market in things that gad no financial value but we need to live. And the banks and investors get very rich. It’s a big and complex societal shift yet again, with no vote and no mandate. And you’ll be told it’s to save the plant! It isn’t. It’s to create money. We must stop it🚨

WTF.. Behind a wire fence lies a vast gaping wound of earth. Before Google’s arrival a few months ago, an estimated quarter of a million trees occupied the 330 hectares (815 acres) of forest near the town of Muhos in rural northern Finland. Now they are all gone. After the tech company illegally stripped the entire area to build a datacentre – taking even the top soil with it – all that remains is a vast expanse of mud indented with the trail marks of machinery, puddles and mounds of earth, roots and branches. Residents say that brown water flowing off the site is going into a stream that feeds the Oulujoki River. “It doesn’t end. It goes on and on,” says Mari Annala, an ecologist from the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation (SLL), looking at drone footage of the former forest from the perimeter. More than a quarter of a million trees were cleared in northern Finland to make room for a data center. The cost is devastating—animals have lost their homes, the nearby river is now choked with muddy runoff, and an entire ecosystem is gone. The survivors are desperate. Wolves and other wildlife that once roamed the forest are now fleeing to nearby villages, searching for food and shelter. When we destroy the natural world, we all pay the price.

🚨 BREAKING: Hackers are hitting the world's money system in 7 places at the same time. This is what Covid looked like in week 1. A few banks. A few apps. Nobody called it a crisis. 1/ France: more than €118 million (about $133 million) was pulled out of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa over several days and turned into crypto. Today its app was down and EVERY transfer was blocked. The bank says customers lose nothing. 2/ Belgium: on October 28, the federal finance ministry said a cyberattack hit it. The online tax portal was SHUT and tax deadlines will be pushed back. 3/ Eurozone: on October 22, the European Central Bank, the bank behind the euro, confirmed that attackers planted malware on one of its websites. 4/ South Korea: at least 9 banks targeted since late September by an attacker using an AI hacking agent. At Shinhan Bank alone, about 25,000 customers had their names, phone numbers, incomes and loan limits exposed. 5/ Japan: hackers broke into GMO Internet and demanded $50 million in crypto. The prime minister promised an emergency anti-cyberattack package. 6/ At least 14 countries: China-linked hackers used AI agents to attack 200+ organisations in just 11 days. Finance was on the target list. 7/ Crypto: more than $6 billion drained from Binance hot wallets on 11 blockchains on October 29, most of it in about 30 minutes. The FBI says North Korea did it. Now zoom out. Hackers now send AI agents to do the work. The French money left over several days before the bank confirmed anything. Fake IDs passed the crypto exchanges' checks. About $63 million in stablecoins became 27,553 Ether in 4 hours. Part of it vanished into Monero, a coin built to hide who sends and who receives. Covid locked the streets. This time the lock is on the bank app, and €118 million is already gone. Nobody is calling this a crisis yet. But central bankers already plan for the day the hackers get in. The G7 agreed to run drills that simulate AI attacks on banks. The ECB gave eurozone banks until October 31 to hand in AI cyber defence plans. And last month the IMF chief warned we may end up with "lots of people with shoeboxes under their beds." We confirm every attack on banks and exchanges before we post it. Follow for the next confirmed case, and share this with anyone whose salary lands in a bank account.
