Britain and Poland are giving European security something it urgently needs: a practical plan to turn allied solidarity into stronger military capabilities.
Their new Warsaw Defence Plan brings together missile development, ammunition production, maritime cooperation and protection against drones and cyberattacks, strengthening a partnership with consequences well beyond either country’s borders.

A reminder for the week ahead:
Strengthening European defence within the NATO framework is non-negotiable. After all, the path to peace requires credible deterrence and strong military capabilities.
Let’s keep working on that!

France’s unrest has brought a European debate over political Islam into sharper focus. As the French authorities investigate arson, looting and attacks on public buildings, attention has also turned to organisations supporting the demonstrations and their alleged connections to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Marine Le Pen could scarcely have chosen a more favourable backdrop for her presidential campaign. A weakened president approaches the exit, demonstrations expose deep public frustration, and scenes of disorder reinforce her central argument: France’s governing establishment has lost control.

Europe’s Black Sea security problem has become a test of credibility. Merchant vessels face deadly attacks near EU member states, crews are being placed in danger, and Ukrainian export routes remain vulnerable. Yet Brussels is still discussing whether to consider a naval response.

What if UK Defence Investment Plan money allocated to Ajax was used to purchase surplus US Army M10 Booker platforms? We know it works. Its 105 mm gun would be a useful tool while we wait for Challenger 3 to deliver. And it would provide a pathway to the XM30 to replace Warrior (assuming GDKS’s Wolf is selected).
French arbitration records show that businessman Sasan Ghandehari, a financial supporter of Nigel Farage, invested in a telecommunications venture partly owned by an Iranian foundation subsequently sanctioned by Washington. His representatives deny any wrongdoing.

Italian security forces are preparing for another wave of protests, with additional military personnel, drones and specialist police units deployed in several major cities. The immediate question is whether the government can prevent further disorder while establishing how much of the unrest was locally organised and whether foreign information operations influenced its development.

🇫🇷🇬🇧☢️ The French Minister of the Armed Forces has just announced that British Eurofighter combat aircraft took part in a French nuclear exercise for the first time.
This is a revolution for the Strategic Air Forces (FAS), which have always operated in complete autonomy since their creation in the 1960s. It is worth noting, however, that two FAS Rafale B aircraft had already conducted a joint exercise with two German Eurofighters this summer.
This exercise puts the Northwood Declaration, signed in July 2025, into concrete effect — a declaration that specifically opened the way to operational cooperation in the field of nuclear deterrence.
The released photos show at least one British Eurofighter equipped only with short-range ASRAAM air-to-air missiles and fuel tanks.
The scope of the exercise remains unknown. It may have been exercise BELOTE 2026-04, which was scheduled for this Tuesday at night (with a reserve slot on Wednesday). BELOTE is a kind of "mini-POKER" and is likely used for the qualification of new crews so that they can then take part in the POKER operation. If this is indeed the case, it paves the way for British crews to take part in the next POKER. However, no activity was visible on @ADSBex during these two days, which is very unusual.
Edit: It seems that the name of the exercise was "RUMMY", which is also a card game, like BELOTE and POKER.
