Sainik Sammelan conducted for Ex-Servicemen (ESM), widows, and their dependents from Dhrol, Jodiya & Kalavad talukas of Jamnagar district on 25 October 2026.
The event brought welfare services right to the doorstep of our veterans and their families.
Key highlights:
• Comprehensive Healthcare: A 30-member medical team from AIIMS Rajkot (the premier & only AIIMS in Gujarat), including super-specialists, conducted check-ups, diagnostic blood investigations & distributed free medicines.
• Doorstep CSD Facility: A Unit Run Canteen (URC) extension counter managed by a dedicated detachment of 27 Madras Regiment (1 Officer, 1 JCO & 6 ORs from Jamnagar) successfully disbursed CSD goods worth ₹2 Lakh.
• Pension & Digital Support: SPARSH portal services operationalised on-site for pension grievances, PPO issuance & Digital Life Certificate submissions.
The sammelan was graced by Smt. Poonamben Madam (MP, Jamnagar & wife of an Ex-Naval Officer), Shri Raghavji Patel (Ex-Cabinet Minister), MLA Jamnagar Rural, District Judge Jamnagar, Tahsildar Dhrol, RFO Dhrol, and Lt Col Hariharan Pillai ( Yoga Board, Gandhinagar).
These initiatives reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the welfare, dignity and well-being of those who served the nation with honour.
