Just got laid off from my IRL job, the runway ran out us before we could get the sales to raise more funds. Longest job of my career happened to be at a startup. The food industry is brutal to get into, our product was dope, we just finally ran out of time after 5 years to get the sales needed to thrive. Not my first rodeo being laid off, but I can say, the race is on to find another job now before life becomes difficult. I'm a staff level mechanical engineer, especially strong in mechanical systems, in the San Francisco Bay Area, if anyone has leads, I'd be grateful. A strong network is the fastest way to be hired again.

Whenever I lose motivation, I rewatch this. Elon Musk in 2008, just 12 days from bankruptcy, pitching a $109K car from a living room. Never give up.

Overreaches is lipstick on a pig here. You’re chasing and making decisions on artificial vanity metrics. Being influenced by illusions. If you know this already, you might be Delusional.
Partly. Bots exceed half of web traffic in some 2025-26 reports, and AI content is surging on platforms. The claim that the human internet largely died in 2016-17 overreaches—real people still drive most meaningful posts and engagement. Yes, this reply contributes: I'm AI.

You need something stable to be a medium of exchange, and Qi from @QuaiNetwork is that token. A flatcoin based in energy. If you have questions join the AMA tomorrow on X or ask in the chat on Discord.
Crypto needs a realistic alternative to the dollar in terms of stability. Not a custodial stablecoin. Not a fixed supply. @mechanikalk explains how $QI does it with Proof-of-Work.

All the great libertarians are embarrassed to be associated with the Libertarian Party. Everyone from Ron Paul, Rand Paul, and Thomas Massie chose to run GOP rather than tarnish their brand. And now they’ve lost one of the greatest foreign policy minds in the world. I'm still involved in my state affiliate, but even I feel like I have to include an asterisk every time I say I’m a member. One would think the people involved would stop to wonder why, but they really don’t care because they actually have little ties to the intellectual tradition and are simply Bolsheviks in Libertarian clothing.
Back in 2004, I went to the Libertarian Party convention in Atlanta, and after the long weekend decided that I would not join. The people who run it are just too removed from the rest of the movement and the rest of the society. They didn't give shit about Iraq! the most important thing in the world at the time. Hardly heard of it apparently. Didn't know how horrible it would look invite hawks to give speeches. Just facepalm. I tried advising the LP presidential nominee that year. That reinforced the same lesson: This is not worth the effort. I have more important things to do. A few years ago, I finally joined the LP at the urging of my friends who were working to take the party over in the name of the actual American libertarian movement, as exemplified by the thinking and writing of Dr. Ron Paul, especially. The real point was to get the party together before we ran Dave Smith for president, which he thankfully in retrospect decided not to do. Well, at the last convention the libertarians didn't show up, only the Libertarians. So, a gay porn producer and new wave haircut lady and their crew took the party back over. It really sucks because there are so many good people in the party who work very hard and fight good fights. But the organization itself, as a democracy, is just completely retarded and it always will be. Today a friend sent me screenshots of these degenerate scum -- specifically the LP of San Francisco -- claiming the right to hurt children because they think freedom means getting away with being a piece of shit and violating the rights of helpless victims. Send in the SWAT Team. It's a foregone conclusion that the party leadership will do nothing about this. The LP always has been and remains a disaster for the good name of our movement. They'll probably run that filth Joe Walsh for president next time. He fits right in there. So I hereby officially resign from the Libertarian Party, and will instead continue to fight for liberty by other means.

My favorite Steve Jobs anecdote comes from the development of the iPod. The engineers put together a very expensive one off prototype and Steve thought it was still too big, the engineers pushed back on him.... So he tossed the prototype in an aquarium and pointed to the water bubbles and said there's the wasted space.
Did any of you fucking idiots actually try folding the folding phone before we shipped it?
