I spent two years being an exit liquidity for better traders.
So I started building a tool that shows what the best Hyperliquid wallets are doing, and grades whether it actually worked. Including the weeks it didn't.
The long version.
Courses, groups, signal channels — not one of them ever showed a number you could check. And in trading you're alone with your own decisions. Unless you have a mentor, or get to watch an experienced trader at work, you get into trouble fast. I did.
I wanted to read market sentiment. Not the crowd's, most traders lose money long term. I wanted the sentiment of the best.
That's the hard part. Not every million-dollar portfolio knows what it's doing. So I started building filters to separate the truly profitable wallets from the merely big ones. Every wallet gets scored on its full history: risk-adjusted return, drawdown, consistency, tenure.
That's how Smart Money Wallet Scanner started. Today it's DexiScan.
What I wanted to know:
What are they buying?
What are they selling?
Are they taking on risk or derisking?
Why not just copy a few whales? Because they're human. Even the best ones get it wrong.
So I don't follow any single wallet. I track almost 200 vetted wallets and watch for the moments when 3 or more of them lean the same way on the same coin. Say, short BTC.
Does a group beat one wallet? That's exactly what I test. Every call gets graded: MFE, MAE, R:R and PnL on a fixed horizon. Hit rate is measured against the real base rate, which isn't 50%.
Each one ends up BEATS, INVERTED or UNPROVEN. Right now a lot of them say UNPROVEN, and that's public too. I'd rather show you that than a screenshot of one good week.
I built this because I needed it. Today anyone can use it.
$HYPE ran from $78.7 to $96 on Oct 29. The whales we track sold 60% of their $HYPE longs into it.
Then $BTC dropped 5% - they covered shorts and flipped net long. Booked +$449k in 48h.
One wallet dumped a 50k $HYPE long from $80.32 between $89 and $94, out before the top.
Another shorted 50k $HYPE at $93, sat through $96, and covered near $94. Right read, almost flat exit.
Our $HYPE short signal fired at $94.95 with 4 wallets. 48h later, $HYPE is -7.9% and 2 of the 4 are already out.
The oldest $HYPE short in the cohort (87k from $58.43) didn't touch a thing. Still -$2.5M.
The cohort is buying it back now, $HYPE longs 67k -> 126k while price slid to $87.5.
$BTC 81.7k -> 77.6k.
Whales went from $8.2M net short to $18.2M net long. Realized PnL: +$464k in the same 48h.
Everyone was right about $HYPE at some point.
The full $HYPE short signal: entry $94.95, 4 wallets, which ones closed and when. dexiscan.com/go/x
Whale bias went from 13.6% long on 10 Oct to 18.4% long on 30 Oct, read every day at 15:57 UTC.
Most short on 17 Oct at 33.8% short, the biggest change under it was $BTC shorts +$26.9M. By 21 Oct that was back -$25.8M.
Unrealized PnL of the same positions stayed above water every day: +$6.7M on 10 Oct, +$1.9M on 30 Oct.
Snapshots of open positions, nothing closed is counted
Morning: ICE, owner of the NYSE, builds on Hyperliquid.
Evening: Binance loses $6.3B.
Crypto in one day. One step forward, one step back.
The morning part is huge. ICE signed a deal to run a US-regulated perpetual futures market built on Hyperliquid, and took a stake in Trade[XYZ], the team behind it. Wall Street's biggest exchange operator is choosing crypto rails.
About 9 hours later, most of $6.3B left Binance's hot wallets across 10 blockchains in about 20 minutes. It's the largest crypto theft on record, about 4x the $1.5B Bybit hack.
So how the hell does the world's biggest exchange get hit like this?
Binance says a compromised DevOps engineer's laptop gave the attacker access to a service container, which then sent withdrawals nobody approved. Later, it found more points of breach. The attacker didn't steal the keys; it controlled the system that tells the keys what to sign.
If a single hacked laptop can even get a whiff of the control system, something’s seriously wrong. That’s a huge security screw-up by Binance, and I’d never keep my money there.
On-chain investigators are pointing at North Korea's TraderTraitor group, the same crew behind Bybit. Binance hasn't said who did it.
The less bad news: about $3B is frozen, mostly stablecoins the issuers locked. The other roughly $2.4B, over 420,000 ETH and 18,270 BTC, is out of anyone's reach.
Binance says users won't lose a cent. It set aside $6.34B of its own money to cover it. Withdrawals are paused and should be back in about 45 to 48 hours.
The sell to Wall Street is that crypto can finally handle real capital, and ICE is supposed to be the exhibit A. Then a $6B hack happens and drags the story right back into the mud. Security matters more than ever, yet Binance’s security operations feel paper-thin.
Honestly, anyone running multisig is ahead of them on basic protection. The takeaway for everyone else: don’t blindly trust any crypto exchange, but self-custody isn’t realistic for everyone, either. It looks like the existing players will have to solve that trade-off for their users.

Last 30 days of whale signals (Sep 28 to Oct 24)
INVALIDATED -> 31 of 37
Closed (31) -> 20 in profit - median +1.93%
All 37, open in 21 in profit - median +0.55%
Best exit: zcash:native long, out at +20.0%.
One loser: $STRK long, out at -8.7%, and $STRK is -36% from that entry now. The open ones drag the median down, so we publish both.
Look: two rows highlighted (+1.93% vs +0.55%)
And our “whales” are sitting on profits from their $HYPE long positions just like we are. We’ve already closed out our HYPE long position because paper profit numbers are all well and good, but realized profit is simply realized profit.
Last 24h on $BTC: 8 wallets added $2.45M in longs around $79.7k, 2 wallets cut $5.8M of shorts. Zero new shorts.
