Nine years ago Emma Thompson spoke to @maitlis for #Newsnight on the predator de jour Weinstein. Me Too was supposed to be the watershed.
We know how that turned out.
This week female execs have gone from Warner Bros, Netflix & Paramount.
It wasn’t just Weinstein, it wasn’t just Brand, it isn’t just Gisele Pelicot.
It’s systemic misogyny.
I'm impressed with my un intentional colour coordination out on today's run!

1 in 4 women in the UK have been raped or sexually assaulted since the age of 16
6 in 7 rapes against women in the UK are carried out by someone they know
5 in 6 women who are raped in the UK don’t report it to the police
Fewer than 3 in 100 rapes recorded by UK police in 2024 resulted in someone being charged that same year

Shafted by England now Lancashire - the best ever bowler this country has ever produced and he’s been treated appallingly.
