Online abuse is NEVER the vibe! 🚫
Cyberbullying, sexual harassment, and sharing intimate images without consent are not jokes.
Call it out, protect each other, and stand up for digital dignity!

Jacqueline Asiimwe, Founder and CEO of CivSource Africa, challenges NGO leaders to rethink traditional approaches to addressing social challenges, emphasising that we cannot solve problems using the same thinking and approaches that created them.
She calls for a mindset shift towards innovation, financial independence, and sustainability, encouraging NGOs to explore fee-for-service models by charging for the expertise, services, and solutions they are well-positioned to deliver.
Her message is clear: NGOs must embrace new ways of thinking, unlock the value of their expertise, and diversify their revenue streams to strengthen resilience and sustain their impact.

Happy Global Encryption Day!
At Imagined Spaces Initiative (ISI), we believe that a safer digital world begins with empowering the next generation. To celebrate today, we successfully hosted Encrypted Futures: A Youth Civic-Tech Lab for Safer Digital Participation in Busia, Uganda! 🇺🇬
This special Encryption Day Grant Activity brought together brilliant young minds, including:
• Young civic actors
• Community journalists
• Bloggers
• Civil society communicators
Through hands-on encryption awareness, practical digital safety skills, and youth leadership training, we are actively building local capacity for secure online participation.
When young change-makers understand how to protect their data, they can advocate for their communities safely and effectively.
A massive thank you to our incredible partners, the @globalencrypt and the @ISOC_Foundation , for their vital support in making this initiative possible.
Together, we are securing our digital rights and shaping a safer, encrypted future for all!

As we step into the week, let’s remember that human rights begin with how we treat one another. Let’s uphold dignity, equality, peace, and justice, and stand against discrimination.
Together, let’s build a world rooted in respect for all. ✊🏽

Disablism in the media feeds hostility and hate crime against Disabled people. It's got to stop.
This National Hate Crime Awareness Week, we're launching Disability Media Action. #NationalHCAW

ALT Disability media action. Logo of a pair of binoculars with eyes. Make disablism unprofitable. 3 steps. 1. Monitor. We have launched an online form, through which people can send us any media coverage which concerns them, and any adverts which appeared alongside it. 2. Expose. We will bring together the evidence gathered, building up a pattern of evidence that cannot be dismissed. 3. Change. We will use our evidence base to put pressure on advertisers to stop funding media outlets who spread disablism. If advertisers don’t fund them, media organisations have another reason to change. Let’s show the media that disablism doesn’t pay.

🚨Breaking:
Disability does not diminish a person's rights, dignity or worth.
Yet, many persons with disabilities continue to face abuse, discrimination and barriers to justice, often compounded by poverty and social exclusion.
Disability rights are human rights. Justice, dignity and protection must be guaranteed to everyone, without exception.

Girls with disabilities have the right to education, bodily autonomy, protection, health and a future free from violence and forced marriage.
But rights without investment, accessible systems and meaningful inclusion remain promises.
Ahead of #IDGC2026 we ask what it will take to move from commitments to action.

For important tasks, it is better to form your own initial idea first and then bring in AI: let it expand the scope of your creativity rather than replace its starting point. Otherwise, as we create less and less on our own, we risk gradually weakening our own creative abilities.

🚨Persons with disabilities should not merely be consulted after decisions have been made.
We must be meaningfully involved in designing policies, programmes and services that affect our lives.
Nothing about persons with disabilities should be decided without their participation.
