I actually think it’d be weird to have the little girl be Belle if her dad or brother would then be Beast. Now, Dad could be Maurice and mom could be Mrs Potts if the daughter were Belle - but then that leaves her brother as weird side character

OK, I'll bite. If John Cassavetes is so insanely influential and brilliant, why have I not heard about him until recently? I've been on a side-quest with classic and esoteric movies, mostly through the Criterion collection. I've watched dozens of Criterion closet picks from filmmakers and actors I admire. They pick Cassavetes films ALL THE TIME. Probably more than any other director except Scorsese. I haven't seen a single Cassavetes film. I don't think I've ever heard anyone talk about a Cassavetes film outside of those videos. I'm not a slouch on film, I've got a pretty wide spread on what I've seen & what I appreciate. How has Cassavetes slipped through that net so completely for so long?

I genuinely don’t understand how ordinary people are supposed to afford assisted living for their aging parents. Some facilities charge upwards of $10,000 A MONTH. That’s $120,000 a year just to make sure your parents are properly cared for. How is the average family supposed to afford that?

Why is this such a difficult thing for women? Nearly, every woman I know (except Mom, who still has a rigid schedule for each night) struggles to think dinner. Not actually MAKE dinner, but think of what to make and this is an incredibly stressful thing for them.

The only other thing is that “ugh gotta go figure out dinner” is probably misinterpreted by a lot of people as “ugh gotta go do this oppressive horrible thing” when it’s more like “ugh gotta get off this call here is my reason” or “gotta do my least favorite chore”
