October 7. A painful day where pure evil was on display. Nearly 1,200 dead with visuals that resembled Nazi death squads, hundreds held hostage, and the beginning of a war started by the deliberate and coordinated massacre of innocent civilians for no reason other than their Jewish faith. The abhorrent reaction from so many since then has proven how antisemitism continues to rear its ugly head. It is incumbent on you, and on me, to stand up for what is right and educate the uninformed. Whether it's irrelevant musicians that grab headlines with tired slogans, the so-called "resistance" protests on the street and on college campuses bankrolled by government regimes, or the pandering politicians catering to crazy demographics, basic dishonesty needs to be corrected and agitators held accountable. It is difficult to say everything I want to here, but on a more personal note, I would leave you with this: if you don't know, learn. If you want to learn more, do it. Talk to your Jewish friends. Go to the museums, visit the memorials, listen to those around you and educate yourself on what happened. Nobody wants to be ignorant, and being ignorant is a choice. Fight for what's right: defeating antisemitism. Never forget.

My initial social security reform proposal is that, before any fiscal changes are negotiated, we rename it "welfare for old people who didnt save despite enjoying the best lifetime asset returns in recorded human history" and make cashing each check maximally humiliating

Bristlemoon just published a report on $FTAI, a newly initiated position in the Fund. Despite revenues expected to grow 50% in FY26/69% in FY27, and with even faster EPS growth expected, the stock is on a 15x P/E. We try to unpack the nuance in a fairly complex business...

Mind you, a Palestinian state would be created tomorrow if Jordan chose to hold democratic elections.
Jordan’s King Abdullah II: This Israeli government's appetite is now a regional threat. And today, Syria is the warning. The international community is choosing not to see repeated incursions, creeping territorial expansion, new facts and posts on the ground, including around vital water resources. Step by calculated step, Israel is testing how far it can go. And every time the international community looks away, Israel learns that it can go even further, across borderlines and legal limits.

My scenario : There were three separate drone strikes (at least) on the E/W pipeline pumping stations today. The fire is first detected at 100 MW total at 9:37am GMT, then spikes to 200 MW by 1:25pm, and even 350 MW by 3:30pm GMT. Since then it has been declining in intensity. I get an update every 10 minutes. If the pipeline itself was ruptured, there would be a pool of ignited fuel and thus an increased ignited surface area over time. This is consistent with an emergency depressurization of the pipeline, which means the pipe is off until repairs are performed.
I used a different satellite that overpassed two hours ago, and it was still burning bright but located exactly on the flares. Looks like emergency flaring to me, because it is unlikely that only flares would be struck in an attack, and a direct pipeline hit would have created a very visibly ignited pool of fuel over the past 6 hours. In any case, sounds like trouble/repairs. We'll get an optical image tomorrow morning.

Platner drops out. Now Maine is going to let 600 Democrat party insiders pick the new candidate, replacing the guy that 156,000 people voted for. Just like the party kicked Biden to the curb and replaced him with Kamala. Tell me again which party is a threat to democracy.

Ro Khanna @RoKhanna and his family just purchased one of the most expensive houses in Virginia history. At $10 million, this McLean 7 bedroom mansion ranks in the top 10 of the 4 million homes in the state. The prior, small home was demolished to make room for this McMansion.
The family home I grew up in was $100k in the 1980s in Northampton and before that we were in an apartment in Bensalem.

Now that you've seen Iran launch ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, do you now believe me that the problem was also that their missile program was about to start mass producing missiles capable of hitting Europe?!? Still think I'm crazy?
The urgency was Iran having intermediate ballistic missiles that could reach Paris, and was working to build missiles that could reach the US Their stockpile was growing rapidly so as to overwhelm any missile defence The opportunity is that Iran was particularly vulnerable now
