One thing no series or track promoter can control is the weather. It absolutely sucks to shorten a race due to weather, but it's worse when it's the finale and it's worse when the track has one of its biggest nights of the year scheduled and no one is in the stands.

Luke Baldwin’s number 47 Bryson-Lopez Racing car has been disqualified from winning the Heart of Dixie 200 at Mobile Speedway due to an infraction in the engine.
Second place Dustin Smith has submitted his number 33 car’s engine for inspection.

Denny Hamlin says Harrison Burton is on standby for Riley Herbst if needed for Sunday's Xfinity 500 @MartinsvilleSwy.
Hamlin added that Herbst will try to go all the way on Sunday afternoon, but noted that pain tolerance could be a factor with his wrist.

Today marks one year since I was laid off from my old role at CBS Sports just after returning from Martinsville. Today, I'm on my way to Martinsville - Still standing and still moving forward with my media career.
I remain grateful to CBS for the decade I spent working my way up with them and for the platform they gave me to establish myself professionally. I also am incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported me and helped me keep this thing going. There's still a ways to go before I can say I'm thriving, but the arrow is still pointing up for me just like I believed it was at this time last year.
Now it's time for my homecoming weekend at Martinsville - Let's get going!
