After many, many years, six books, and a long uphill climb, I’m so honored to announce I’ve signed with @AKA_Terrie Management who will represent my novels THE FERRYMAN and THE HAUNTING OF PHILADELPHIA.
Thank you to my family (especially my wife Julia, who lets me live in my writing cave), friends, fellow writers, agents and editors that pushed me to be better, and all the others who have shared those little bits of support that kept me going. You may not even know who you are.
A special thank you must go to @LeeAnnWard1115 who has been a champion for her writers, especially me. The Writing Away Refuge organization is a boon and a gift that every aspiring author should be involved with. I wouldn’t be here without them.
And, of course, thank you to Terrie Wolf for believing in me. I know the work has only just begun and I can’t wait to get to it!

Amazing weekend at @writingawayrefuge retreat. Unbelievable people, unparalleled experience, and a #writingcommunity far beyond any other I’ve been in. True kindness and support. If you write, you are doing yourself a disservice if you are not part of it. All are welcome.
And, of course, I have to mention @leeannward1115 who built a dream refuge for writers. I owe all my success to her and the community she built.
And I placed 2nd in their annual contest! Super humbled and grateful. #writer #amwriting

This week we look at the infamous Rebel Moon. I can't say they were great, but I can point out some solid techniques employed by Zack Snyder in his Star Wars-ish epic.

Tired of middle-aged white men hating on everything? This is for you!
On LSFE, I watch/read/play “generally” poorly reviewed works and find five truly great things about them from which I can learn.

Pub day for the official sequel to AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN!! I'm proud to have acquired this book and published it at Blackstone Publishing. If you love the movie, like I do, it's a GREAT return to that world, and those characters. @BlackstoneAudio

In May, I taught a small 5-week marketing class for authors through the Alexander Writers’ Center Society. During the last class, I sprung an impromptu podcast recording session on Andrea Martineau, @Doc_Varga & SJ Anderson. Listen now! linktr.ee/andrewbuckleyautho…

New books #unboxing! No weird gimmicks, nothing strange. Just a dude opening a box.

The day I sent my first query letter, I looked at my wife and said, "I've heard it takes some writers ten years to get an agent."
She looked at me, and we both laughed.
I said, "No way it'll take that long."
It took me nine years. I was right. 🤣
Being a writer is awesome. Tell me this isn’t just me. #writingcommunity #writerlife #amwriting #blogger #writerwednesday

It's inspiring to see people pre-ordering WITCHCRAFT while I'm still writing it. But this Friday is the day it FINALLY squirms out of my grasp.

Still recovering from #thrillerfest 2024. Multiple nights out after 10 PM… not for this old man. As always, it was a blast and I can’t wait until next year!
