People are so retarded, data centres for cloud storage or servers didn't created such scarcity of resources like the AI is doing. That's the whole point, they are pushing it so hard beyond natural limit and making consumers suffer. How hard is that to understand?😮💨

If we nuked every data center constructed after 2022 it’d be a national holiday. We’d have human customer service again.

The modern definition of data center means hyperscaler facilities filled with GPUs.
Calling what websites in 2006 ran on a "data center" is disingenuous, because they didn't even contain GPUs!

data centers are literally the antithesis of how the internet was made. "internal network" built by connecting different computers together to share data. capitalizing it came later. data centers host all the data under a single host, that can modify and withhold how it pleases

What they mean is without an enormous infrastructure build out for a technology that was used to bomb Iranian school children and actively spies on you, the US would already be in a technical recession with two consecutive negative quarters of GDP, because we're absolutely cooked
Just so we're clear, AI is the leading contributor to GDP growth.
If we start canceling data centers, rather than finding a middle ground compromise in negatively impacted communities, we're going to have a recession.
A lot of jobs will be lost and our lead vs China in AI will collapse.
This leads to a much less desirable future.
Technology neophytes like Bernie don't grasp this, and quite frankly probably don't care because they have plenty of money and won't live long enough to realize the consequences of this destructive policy.
