For all the no Botox no Plastic Surgery women
When they asked her to reveal her beauty secrets, Audrey Hepburn wrote this beautiful text that was later read at her funeral.
′′ To have attractive lips, speak kind words.
To have a loving look, look for the good side of people.
To look skinny, share your food with the hungry.
To have beautiful hair, let a child cross it with his own fingers once a day.
To have a beautiful poise, walk knowing you're never alone, because those who love and loved you accompany you.
People, even more than objects, need to be fixed, spoiled, awakened, wanted and saved: never give up on anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a hand, you'll find them at the end of both your arms.
When you become old, you will discover that you have two hands, one to help yourself, the second to help others.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, in her face or in her way of fixing her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the door open to her heart, the source of her love.
The beauty of a woman doesn't lie in her makeup, but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the tenderness that gives love, the passion that it expresses.
The beauty of a woman grows over the years ′′

I'm not very good at asking for help. But I think I'm going to have to get better at it. Since I shared the news about my cancer, something pretty incredible has happened.
Without me really coming out and directly asking, friends, fans, fellow artists and complete strangers have already donated more than $10,000 to help me fight this thing.
I don't know how to adequately say thank you for that.
But today, I do need to actually ask.
I need your help.
Even with health insurance and financial assistance, the cost of fighting this rare cancer is staggering.
Just ONE of the medications I now have to take costs approximately $300 per pill.
One pill. Every day. For at least two years.
That's roughly $219,000 for one medication.
I'm currently taking eight different prescriptions.
Then there are treatments, oncology appointments, testing, scans, hospital bills and everything else that comes along with trying to stay alive.
So... yeah.
This is the uncomfortable part where I swallow my pride and ask my weird, wonderful little corner of the world to rally around me.
If you're able to donate, even a little, I would be incredibly grateful.
And if donating isn't possible, sharing this helps more than you might realize.
We've already made it more than 20% of the way there.
Maybe, together, we can get the rest of the way.
I'm home. I'm getting stronger.
And I am going to fight like hell.
Thank you for helping me afford the fight. ❤️

Watching TV shows that were on only 20-30 yrs ago, it’s interesting to see the different technologies we have since then. Just imagine what’ll be available in 20-30 yrs from now. The sky’s no longer the limit. 🚀

There are 3 Archangels who Intercede for us.
Here is when to ask for their help!
1. Archangel Michael :
. When you feel under attack,
. Temptation, Fear, Confusion that feels dark.
St. Michael is the warrior,
. He casts down Satan, and
. He defends God's people
Ask St Michael for strength, protection, and courage to fight back.
2. Archangel Gabriel :
. When you need Clarity,
. Big decision, a moment when you need to hear God clearly.
Gabriel is the messenger.
. He appears when God has something to say.
Ask Archangel Gabriel for light, direction, and the grace to say yes to God.
3. Archangel Raphael :.
.When you need healing,
Body, mind, heart, even broken relationships.
Raphael is the healer and guide.
. In scripture, he heals, protects and leads Tobias safely on the road.
Ask Archangel Raphael for healing, peace and guidance, when the road feels long.
You need 3 of them in your life now?!

I genuinely don't know how NOT to make every social media post about cancer right now. 🤦🏻♂️Seriously.
I've spent years using these platforms to share music, tell stories, make dumb jokes, and occasionally speak up about things that really matter to me.
Or maybe you found me a couple years ago, when my family went through an unimaginable nightmare after losing our baby in the wake of the Texas abortion ban. When I found myself speaking out, fighting for my daughter's future, and trying to make sure other families wouldn't have to experience what we did.
However you found your way here, I'm glad you did.
And now?
Cancer. Cancer. Cancer.
It's all I seem to think about.
And the weirdest part is that I feel guilty about it. Like I'm somehow going to annoy people by talking too much about the fact that I'm fighting for my life.
Which is a pretty ridiculous thing to feel guilty about, when you think about it.
But here we are.
The other thing I never imagined is finding myself in a position where I literally cannot afford the fight to stay alive.
Not without help.
That's a difficult thing to wrap your head around. And an even more difficult thing to admit publicly. But you wonderful people have already helped me reach 35% of my GoFundMe goal.
THIRTY-FIVE PERCENT.
I can't even begin to tell you what that means to me.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is... thank you for putting up with all the cancer talk.
I promise I'll get back to making music, telling ridiculous stories, and complaining about things that don't matter.
But first, I've got to beat this thing.
And I still need your help.
If you can donate, thank you. If you can share the fundraiser, that helps enormously, too. And if you've already done either of those things, please know how grateful I am.
I'm still here.
And I'm still fighting. ❤️

Online it’s impossible to know what others are going through more so than in person. Not everyone shares every detail of their lives. We must be cognizant of other people’s possible crosses even if they are silent about them. ✝️❤️

By now, many of you have probably seen the news: I have cancer. Today, I want to tell you what actually happened — in my own words.
How a trip to the emergency room turned into being rushed to an ICU.
How close I came to not making it home.
The people who saved my life.
The little girl who gave me every reason in the world to keep fighting.
And what happens now.
There's a treatment plan. There's hope.
And I will, OF COURSE, be fighting.
But there's another part of this that I need to talk about, too.
I need some help.
That's not particularly easy for me to say.
I've spent most of my adult life making music and being supported by this incredible community of friends, fans, fellow artists and wonderfully weird people all over the world.
Today, I'm asking that community to rally around me in a different way.
This week's Sunday Story is probably the most important thing I've ever written.
I'm home.
I'm alive.
And now, together, we fight.
❤️

On the feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, the Gospel reminds us that heaven is closer than we think. God sends His angels to protect, guide and strengthen us. May we trust their presence and follow where God leads us.

On the feast of Saint Vincent de Paul, remember that true charity begins with seeing the dignity of every person who asks for help. A kind word, a shared meal, or a moment of genuine attention given to a beggar honors the saint who spent his life serving the poor. Let this day move you from passing by to stopping, so that compassion becomes more than a feast-day thought and becomes a lived habit.

St. Vincent de Paul, pray for us. Renowned for his compassion, humility, & generosity & is known as the "Great Apostle of Charity.” bit.ly/3iNuPq1

Saint Vincent de Paul, priest: he was filled with a sacerdotal spirit, devoted to the poor in Paris, and in the face of anyone who suffered he recognized the face of his Lord. To restore the model of the primitive Church, form the clergy in holiness, and give relief to the poor, he founded the Congregation of the Mission and, with the assistance of Saint Louise de Marillac he also founded the Congregation of the Daughters of Charity.
Saint Vincent de Paul, pray for us!
