Wall Street is now running tabletop exercises for an AI "day after." That tells you two things. The banks think the AI buildout is big enough to move the whole economy, and they have no idea which direction. Planning for failure is how you earn the right to bet on success.

This is two problems. 1) Reliance on a service with erratic management. 2) Reliance on a US company under an erratic administration – at Franconia, VA
Starlink in Ukraine is the clearest case yet that satellite connectivity is now a geopolitical lever, not just a product. Washington says access is restored, Kyiv says it keeps dropping. Every telecom operator should be studying this.

You're right, @elonmusk. Someone has grown very rich off money flowing from Ukraine. I work in Starlink supply to Ukraine, so I see these numbers firsthand.
Ukrainians bought 117,000 terminals in September alone (~$42M), plus monthly subscriptions for each one. And that's just official commercial imports. Not counting government contracts, donor-funded deliveries, direct orders from your website or grey imports.
No laundry machines needed. It goes straight to SpaceX.

scoop: SpaceX declined to offer Falcon for three future Space Force missions, and no other company offered to fly them either — an early sign of the launch crunch politico.com/news/2026/10/22…

Want to know what SpaceX actually believes? Skip the speeches. Check the capex.
Last quarter the company spent $19.59 billion on capital projects. $16.44 billion of it, 84 cents per dollar, went to AI data centers. Power, cooling, compute, software buys. Q4 guidance: another $35 to $40 billion of the same.
The moon city would need closed-loop life support, habitat construction, radiation shielding, resource extraction on the lunar surface, agriculture in a dome. Whole fields of engineering that barely exist today. None of that is getting built. No program, no budget line, nothing.
Musk can promise anything on an earnings call. Money only goes where belief is. And every capital dollar at SpaceX says the future is a server rack in Texas. The fanboys can keep quoting the moon speech but the checkbook shows otherwise.

BREAKING: The first indication of @BlueOrigin's New Glenn Return-To-Flight is here...
December 28, 2026.
The CADENA air traffic advisory lists this mission as "New Glenn 4.1". The rocket which exploded was "New Glenn-4".
As ever, these dates are extremely provisional, and should be taken with a pinch of salt until more concrete information is released.

NSA says all orgs using PHP should “effective immediately” prepare for critical updates to vulnerabilities that have trickled out over the last 24 hours.
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

Not the important point, but if Musk/SpaceX was able to execute this unilaterally and isn't labeled a supply-chain risk the way Anthropic was, Anthropic’s case against the gov could get very interesting.
The government’s central argument is that a private supplier's ability to restrict a military system can itself constitute a national security supply-chain risk.
Yet Hegseth said today that “we haven’t pulled anything back,” but “Starlink has the option to make decisions concerning its terms of service.”
If SpaceX independently imposed restrictions on a US-funded military service that disrupted Ukrainian operations, it raises some interesting legal questions about how consistently the government is applying the supply-chain risk standard it invoked against Anthropic.
Anthropic is seeking a rehearing in DC Circuit court.
