South Sudan has a federal system headed by the president and a few vice presidents; It is divided into 10 states and 3 administrative areas.
It is a goldmine of untapped wealth,
Upper Nile region is a hub of energy, fisheries, and oil. It comprises Unity State, Upper Nile State, and Ruweng, which drive current national revenue through oil production.
The Sudd in Jonglei holds massive freshwater fish export potential for DRC & Uganda. The floodplains can be used for large-scale rice & gum Arabic farming.
The Equatoria region is known for its gold-dense, vast deposits in Kapoeta, Luri, and Boma.
It is also the Green Belt; Western Equatoria features rich timber, coffee, & cocoa. It is a trade gateway as well; Central Equatoria links the nation to East African markets.
Bahr el Ghazal region could lead the nation in beef export, as they have millions of cattle and could lead Africa in beef & leather production.
They also have massive agricultural potential for groundnuts and sesame.
The region is also rich in limestone and uranium potential.
The country is managed by the transitional government; every single region is a sleeping wealth giant. With stability and infrastructure, local resources can drive national prosperity.
We are due for our first election in December since independence.
What would you like me to talk about next?

There is, there was, and there will always be only one Dr. John Garang, the only leader who truly had the vision of this country at heart.
We remember you on this Martyrs Day.

I have taken it into my hands. All you who do not engage with my posts, we need to talk. What's wrong, or what do I need to improve?
President Salva Kiir: I thank the South Sudanese for their endurance. They must go in for elections, and registration of voters will start very soon. I want them to register in big numbers so that when they go to vote, they pick their leaders.

On the back of that Space by @JubaMonarchs, a few thoughts.
1) we need to harness technology more/better,
2) widen access to address lack of telecoms, electricity and literacy,
3) GoSS need to address the issue of mobile money because that can support small businesses and finances more accessible.
Thank you so much my brother.
Much appreciated your kinds words and well-wishes. God Bless 🙌🏾

South Sudanese are the most patriotic people in Africa. No matter the hardships, people have love for this country. It’s always emotional and overwhelming all the independence days I have celebrated in Juba.

If you don’t want a better #SouthSudan, and are okay with the status quo then don’t stand in the way of those of us vested in bettering this country for our kids. We will die trying if we must. Maybe then, they will be free, respected, contented, and prosperous.

Traders should not pay taxes to the government if the government is incapable of protecting their business and properties and even compensating their losses.
Taxes, levies, fines, custom duties should be followed by services💯. Facts are very stubborn and do not take breaks.

When cultures collide, fairness in international law and institutions and state-craft and the art of leadership are interesting read . I highly recommend them.
