I like the way England does their election. The loser has to immediately leave their house and go apartment hunting.

I met a brilliant HCA who trained and practiced as a Dr in Pakistan. She moved here in Feb, passed all exams and is on the GMC register. Yet, she still can't find a job anywhere in the UK and will have to leave the UK. This isn’t just a nursing shortage; it’s an NHS crisis.

Appreciate it’s been a challenging year for @RCPhysicians but this is not the change I was expecting

Manufacturing excels at thinking about the whole journey due to the complexity of supply chains and competive pressure to be better & innovate.
It’s the NHS that operates in specialist silos with scant regard for the overall journey and glacial change.

FYI The problem is not in the hospitals or the ED but in the inability to discharge patients from beds who are fit to go out due to lack of community care. The problem is in the community. The ED corridor queue is simply a symptom of a problem elsewhere.

Has there been a national drop in ED attendances this morning because the entire British population is in the queue to buy Oasis tickets?

The fact that a senior civil servant who specialised in assessing arms exports to Israel has ended his 18-year career because he thinks the Foreign Office "may be complicit in war crimes", and not a single national outlet has reported it, is frightening. We have a captive media.
Can someone tell me why I’m having to be miserable on O&G for GPST + doing yet MORE EFFING LOCUM SHIFTS to pay for my damn portfolio +GMC fees if I could have just been a GP straight from uni with no reg/portf/exam fees?
Sick of the dbl stds + purposeful compromise of pt safety!

Some of my favourite highlights:
- some senior PAs doing on calls and working to 10 minute appointments
- our PA partner working to parity - hope we see regulatory changes to bring independent practice
🤣
Needless to say an FOI has gone in

It’s always “Our women” until it’s white men raping, beating, abusing and killing us and then it’s silence.
We are not anyone’s women.
We don’t need you to speak for us.
We can speak for ourselves.

THE IMPOSSIBLE HAS HAPPENED! I’ve been asking the hospital to stop making me new IT accounts each time I’ve started a new role for the last 5 yrs + have been ignored each time. But for the first time… They’ve listened! Sometimes it’s the small things 🙌🏾
Brad here seems to think it’s ok for people to throw racist abuse + violence because “life isn’t fair”.
These shitty attitudes have long plagued the medical profession +we don’t stand for it anymore. We deserve to feel safe in our surroundings + should be working towards that.

Maybe it’s just me but if one’s constitution is so fragile from verbal abuse…
I’d say that you chose the wrong field to go into.
If you feel so “unsafe” in your surroundings? You should have chosen a better location to live in.
Life isn’t fair… it wasn’t meant to be.
When life gives you race riots, make… Baked goods?
Made these for my GP placement as a thank you; what a fab team they are ❤️! I’ve spent the last few yrs finding out what I don’t want from a work environment, it was nice to finally discover what to look for in the future 😊
My first day off in weeks + I don’t feel safe leaving my house because of the colour of my skin. Ironically, I’ve already had anxiety at being at home overnight due to an attempted burglary a few months ago!
Do I need to carry something to defend myself now? Will this settle?
