I like the way England does their election. The loser has to immediately leave their house and go apartment hunting.

I met a brilliant HCA who trained and practiced as a Dr in Pakistan. She moved here in Feb, passed all exams and is on the GMC register. Yet, she still can't find a job anywhere in the UK and will have to leave the UK. This isn’t just a nursing shortage; it’s an NHS crisis.

Manufacturing excels at thinking about the whole journey due to the complexity of supply chains and competive pressure to be better & innovate. It’s the NHS that operates in specialist silos with scant regard for the overall journey and glacial change.

FYI The problem is not in the hospitals or the ED but in the inability to discharge patients from beds who are fit to go out due to lack of community care. The problem is in the community. The ED corridor queue is simply a symptom of a problem elsewhere.

Has there been a national drop in ED attendances this morning because the entire British population is in the queue to buy Oasis tickets?

The fact that a senior civil servant who specialised in assessing arms exports to Israel has ended his 18-year career because he thinks the Foreign Office "may be complicit in war crimes", and not a single national outlet has reported it, is frightening. We have a captive media.

It’s always “Our women” until it’s white men raping, beating, abusing and killing us and then it’s silence. We are not anyone’s women. We don’t need you to speak for us. We can speak for ourselves. #UKriots

It’s welcome progress, but one above-inflation increase will not correct a decade of savage pay cuts with no equal.
High street dentists have not taken industrial action.
 They are simply walking away.
We won’t halt this exodus without real reform & fair, sustained funding.

Really! Right at what expense? Potholes, NHS, libraries, GPs , dentists, sewage, schools crumbling. Our total infrastructure has broken down. Even now the lies keep coming. Employment has stagnated, inflation was outside influence when it went up, now it is a Tory success?

Your daily reminder that NHSE expects some first year doctors to hear where they are placed as late as 4 July (or even tba) and be ready to start work in this unknown destination w/c 22 July. Still no explanation from NHSE of how this has been allowed to happen. 1.n

Genuinely the GMC comms team must have one of the hardest jobs in the world, it's like trying to do PR for the KGB – at Woking, South East

If some of those people came to canal street this afternoon, they would see many of my friends have “made their own family” because their own don’t want to know them. For them, spending time with their friends is time with them families.
