Really feel like this is a damned if you do damned if you don’t thing because I know of several people that I know personally that refuse to pay the game simply because there are wipes
I agree that the game needs them to maintain a healthy sandbox and level of individual player power but it’s just hard to pitch that to someone who doesn’t like the idea to begin with
I completely understand the desire to maintain some level of progress, but I feel that making the wipes optional would be extremely harmful to the game, especially for onboarding new players. EVERYONE who has been playing would be incredibly rich and would lead to a cascading effect of golds and purples completely decimating potential new players who are using common and green tier gear. Wipes are healthy and necessary
