Turns out, there's a German word for my willingness to eat mildly expired food:
Lebensmittelhaltbarkeitsoptimist
Just ran across THIS CRITIQUE of our article. Just want to quote from our article the part he didn't read? (BTW, a number of podcasts that critiqued our article seemed not to have read the whole article.) Our conclusion is in the pic below.

I've always enjoyed working with Christianity Today's editors, including Bonnie and all of those editors mentioned in this article (and others like Ted Olsen). I'm sad to hear about the state of affairs there and some of their decisions alleged here.

This theologian thinks you might be incorrect (and makes a compelling biblical case).

If you've never seen the Democratic Socialist of America's platform, they've created an infographic to make it super-easy. Definitely worth the read!

The publisher told me that they have contracted a Spanish translation of UNDERSTANDING BIBLICAL LAW!

The SBL promotion has started! My book is 40% off with free US shipping at ivpress.com/pain-and-paradoxโฆ with code IVP26SBL.
Submitted the manuscript to @ivpress today (out in under a year, hopefully). It's for laypeople, has discussion questions (which I actually enjoyed writing), and uses . . . ENDNOTES . . . on purpose!!!! (one of the rare good uses of endnotes, IMO)
The Bible was designed to be translated? Jost tells us how sign language is sometimes a better translation that text. This was a super fun discussion! And, you can access the meat of these translations for yourself in English.

The Daily Dose crew just built a new site and dropped a dramatized Hebrew audio Bible in with a reading screen. Amazing!

How lovely it is to see a systematic theologian responsibly using Hebrew thought (OT & NT) to conceptually clarify collective responsibility!

I'm a little embarrassed to say that I didn't even know this world of mythicism still existed. I think his responses to criticism say more than he realizes. (maybe mine do too)
Richard Carrier did not like my review if his book, and responded the same way he responds to all criticism.

My new video course on Ritual in the Bible drops on Sept 23. We're doing a live Q&A about biblical rituals the night before.
A pleasurable and sad mix of hilarious and indictment. Worth the read!
"Somewhat defensively I would offer the fact that it wasnโt so bad. We had two video stores. A supermarket. Enough racism to make you feel alive."

Forget everything you knew about masculine "homemakers." Nancy Pearcey's book opened me up to genuinely new lines of thought about the "place of a man" in the home. She's asking us to rethink some things and I think it's helpful.
