Mike Ditka, Super Bowl VI The legendary tight end hauled in a 7-yard touchdown from Roger Staubach to salt away the Dallas Cowboys' first Super Bowl championship. Iron Mike later made a nice 21-yard leaping snag on a crosser, and nearly scored again on a 17-yard end around.

An unbelievable BADASSES from Jim Nantz on MIKE DITKA who he noticed only carried $100 bills on him during the time they did TV together. Ditka would pay for everything with the hundred and let them keep the change. Listen why. An all-time story from Nantz on Da Coach.

Was really really bad. Literally used it as a moment to teach my sons and about 7 of his HS teammates on what not to do. Don’t break the huddle out side of 12, don’t snap the ball outside of 2
This is one of the little details that can have a HUGE impact late in a game. Georgia Tech could’ve taken potentially 80+ seconds off the clock simply by using more of the play clock before snapping it. That’s the kind of game-management detail we were talking about all night

Hey proud veteran here, and I love honoring different parts of each branches heritage. However, I have to say putting a military contractor’s name, Northrop Grumman, on the helmet’s back bumper is a bit too much. Did they put the Lockheed Martin name on the F-35 unis? Not that they would want to claim those things I guess…

Very insightful scene from Hard Knocks. Mike Macdonald says he had imposter syndrome when he first became the Seahawks HC. He called games not to lose them as sort of a “hedge”. I’ve always suspected this with new head coaches but nice to see a top HC admit it.

Travis couldn’t run a 4.9 40 to save his life… every DB he lines up against is much “faster” sprinting… but he consistently gets open.. it isn’t about how fast you run, it’s about how you move. Football Speed > Track Speed.. otherwise u are just the fastest to not make a play

If you want a faster operation time, speed up your hands before you speed up your feet. When guys hear they need a faster operation, their first instinct is usually to move their feet faster. The problem is, faster feet can turn into longer steps, rushed movements, and an inconsistent ball. Your hands control more of the operation than you think. Get smoother and quicker setting the football. Get smoother and quicker spinning the football. Eliminate wasted movement. Once your hands are efficient, then speed up your feet. Fast doesn’t mean rushed. Quick hands. Small steps. Clean operation. #tlk #beapro #fyp #punting #birmingham

Man, I miss watching @DezBryant play! Besides just how great he was & the intensity he played with, one of the best things about watching Dez was seeing him just bully defenders…Also because of that, idk if any WR had more bogus calls against them than Dez did lol
Don’t let anyone tell you that Dez Bryant wasn’t one of the best wide receivers of all time

one will hear coach or colleague shouting instructions to a competitor to correct faulty technique during rapid movements. This is little more than useless because it is not possible consciously to change the course of any movement which lasts less than 0.4 second (Thomas, 1970)
